Main & Madison Market Café — Restaurant in Franklin

I used to eat here regularly, but after 4 separate instances of my order being forgotten about I will not return or pay much attention to this place. The last time this occurred I waited over 30 minutes for my pastry to be warmed up and delivered to my table. The people I was with got theirs on time. The girl who dropped the food off seemed surprised that she didn’t have knowledge of my dish prior to delivering the food. Said she would go find out. I saw in minutes later delivering other food instead. I went to investigate myself and the pastry I ordered was still sitting in the case where it had been when I ordered it. Meaning I had purchased the last one and it had 30 minutes after the point that I bought it for it to be sold out from underneath me. The girl at the counter didn’t even seem like there was an issue. Somehow it was my fault for inconveniencing her... about 10 minutes later it was delivered to me cold.

I had a half chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and a cup of southwest corn chowder. The sandwich was very bland and the bread was kind of stale. It was a very small half of a sandwich. The soup was ok, but it tasted like it was out of a can so it was unimpressive. I would have given them more stars except I stood there for a very long time and I felt like the wait was way too long. Also, I think 10 and a half dollars is way too much for the tiny amount of food I got. They did add chips to the order, but they were all dark brown and did not look appetizing at all. We have gone here a lot. We like to do dates here every so often. It is a cool location downtown Franklin. Shabby Chic interior, with a modern, millennial feel.

A while ago, I left a mediocre review here. The main concerns were price and lackluster coffee. After some recent visits, I've decided to rereview this place. Let me say that the coffee game has been stepped up! Their milk steaming game has gone up, and with new seasonal drinks, I am really satisfied. The bacon egg Danish thing I got today was phenomenal. 11/10. The service was very friendly and considerably quick for how busy they were.
