This is a great place for food, but the environment was not suitable for me. If you follow me, you know I have hyperosmia. As soon as I walked in, I was assaulted with the smell of perfume, cologne, and I don't know what else because it was overwhelming. We sat outside, but as the wind shifted, I would still be exposed to extreme amounts. I don't understand why anyone would wear that much, because it affects the taste of the food. When I wasn't smelling scents, the food tasted pretty good. I ordered the Man-eater which is a braut with Philly steak on it, and a Reuben. My wife ordered fish and chips with a house salad, and fried cucumber and an Unloaded braut. The unloaded braut was good, but needs some of the German curry sauce. The philly meat was good on it's own, and the braut was good on it's own, however, in my opinion, it's not a great combo (ok at best). The Reuben was good but a bit disappointing, due to the scarcity of meat. The french fries were very delicious. It tastes like Checker's fries without the seasoning. The food was good, the service was good, but due to the overwhelming scents, it was very difficult to enjoy myself. I found the smells were coming from the employees mainly. I would like to try other items from the menu, but I would have to be able to breathe first and bot taste perfume when I am eating. I don't think they were inconsiderate, but oblivious to the amount of scents they were wearing. The last two pictures are of the half Reuben I took home. I wanted to add a profile photo to show the amount of meat in the sandwich. To the people who work in food service: scents affect the taste of food. With hyperosmia, scents can actually cause physical pain. It was not enjoyable eating here.
Reply to response: In regards to the perfume, cologne, deodorant or whatever else the scent was emanating from, my entire group smelled it every time the server and trainee came to our table. I can differentiate scents and feel that you are dismissive because they said they weren't wearing something. The people at my table don't normally smell more than half of what I smell, but they...
Read moreEDITED TO REPLY: I expected nothing more than an elementary reply and certainly I see that I got that from you. The truth usually is hurtful. Most people only review when there's an issue, but let's take a look at all of your rude replies for anyone who says a negative thing about your business, shall we? You obviously lack customer service skills. Had I wanted anything for free, I would have walked out as your other customers were screaming announcing the mouse to all of the customers. I can't believe that your reply is so harsh because of an honest review, but now everyone knows what business not to support because ANY issues obviously wouldn't be resolved to meet customer satisfaction as all of your replies are never nice. Certainly all of your replies shows the character of the owner and how business the business is ran. Not one apology to a customer have I seen from you here, and not one apology from the staff last night. I will also be sure to share my experience on yelp as well. Even with outdoor dining, I have never been to a place with rodents running across the floor. Hopefully your staff protected the food because the mouse didn't go back outside.
We've wanted to try this place for quite some time because of the great reviews, we finally did. It was pleasant at first. The service was fantastic. The food was decent. I'm rating one star though because of the mouse that ran across the floor during our meal. The server said it was because they had the garage door open but while going to the bathroom we noticed they had little houses for rodent tucked between the booths which leads one to believe they have a rodent problem or that mice run in frequently. They never apologized or even offered any compensation for our less enjoyable meal. Sadly, I don't believe we will be back because we don't enjoy seeing mice...
Read moreThis was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had and definitely the worst salad I’ve ever had. I rarely write reviews and even more rarely a negative review but it was bad. The hostess took her time greeting us, even though the place wasn’t busy. It took us 35 minutes to get two salads and a plate of fries, again, not busy. Never once did our server come back and say sorry it’s taking so long or can I get you anything. After the pathetic looking salads were served he never circled back to say how is the meal or do you need anything. Which, honestly, I can hardly blame him. If I had served those salads I would hide from that table as well.
Now for the meat of the review, so to speak. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad. Silly me I was expecting chicken that had been barbecued. If I had to guess the two pieces of chicken had been boiled, no salt or pepper, or possibly microwaved. And then a big blob of barbecue sauce on top of the chicken. Honestly it was almost funny. Like something I child would make. Then they opened a can of corn and a can of black beans and sprinkled those around the tomatoes and cucumbers. I feel like I could have had a better salad if I had gone to a gas station.
Just a few short years ago Quinn’s was my go to place in Franklin. Great atmosphere great food. This was a shocking change in quality. Oh, and speaking of atmosphere, there was no music playing. So it was kind of quiet and dead with few patrons there. It was...
