All my life, my go to food has been chicken=baked, fried ](us especially General Tso's chicken in N.Y.C.. My family jokes and says I am growing feathers My favorite chicken was..until today Spicy Popeye's Also Pollo Campero which is sadly overpriced In the past 2 weeks I discovered in frederick, md... Bojangles I had heard Bojangles all my adult life after I discovered popeyes in 1975..but i never tried it I was curious when I saw Bojangles sign and one-by- one, I've eaten Biscuits Bo- berry biscuits..which put Cinnabon to shame The blueberry cookies which were warm & were than than Famous Amos This Bojangles is likely one of the best kept secrets of Bojagles in America .because of its leadership by Simone &great employees like Bethany who might one day run a company like Bojangles & Rosemary to the Bo-berry cookies I invite to continue to eat KFC , popeyes and wingstop..but you stomache will growl in anger if you don't switch to Bojangles I was not paid to write this because Simone told me there are no other Bojangles yet in Maryland
Update sept 2
I have been revisiting Bojangles every few days
Why..to try most of the menu discovering everyone so far is the "best in class" compared to every other similar restaurant
The chicken is better/fresher & juicier than KFC/Wingstop & Popeyes The chicken sandwich is now my favorite beating Popeyes Their boberry cookies & biscuits are phenomenal The dirty rice makes Popeyes tastes dirty (disappointing) Today, with the help of manager on duty (Chelsey) & Dayanna i am now eating for lunch country style/like "mom used to make"
Bacon & egg & cheese biscuit Hamburger & Egg & cheese biscuit
Both put to shame Mcdonald's egg mcmuffins & others
Without a doubt bojangles is "the best kept secret in Maryland" because, apparently the Frederick Md. Bojangkes is the only Md. Bojangles.
Update October 4th
Sadly this visit was atrocious
I was f given 2 bo biscuits for my birthday. I tried to redeem the birthday hmgift & the young woman at the counter didn't believe me or her own eyes that the offer was real. In stepped in a young man who challenged me as well. I saw the manager on duty but she was too busy at the drive thru to offer me the time of day Eventually the young man handed me my 2 Bo biscuits but he never realialized I wanted to place a large order for my birthday party This bojangles serves phenomenal food but the owner/managing partner is clueless k ess as are many of the staff of manners & training I know Bojangles is expanding in Frederick /but bojangles ownership knew better than to grant this franchise owner the reat of Frederick maryland..Given Frederick is relatively a small geographic area..I venture bojangles wishes this franchise er never became a bojangles developer
I still rate bojangles the best chicken for the price & taste in america.but given its locations are franchisees..i predict bojangles will never realize its. Potential.i reached out a few weeks ago to bojangles corporate to discuss this franchisee from multiple experiences but noone at bojangles cared enough to hear my experiences
Another future future chicken faikure..i predict BOJANGLES
SADLY..pollo campero and popeyes have their acts together nationwide
It is sad..the best chicken in america will soon be a "dinosaur". in fast foods.

Read moreI ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNTIL THEY RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND SERVE EDIBLE FOOD AND GIVE YOU THE ITEM YOU ACTUALLY ORDER! How many were happy for hopefully a decent fast food restaurant and heard the hype of how great Bojangles is down South? I waited over 6 weeks after opening day (not counting the wait for it to actually be built/opened) to give the new restaurant some time to work through any opening issues. Well…..
•Steak biscuit (shown in photo): Absolutely over cooked! Some pieces were so hard you couldn’t break them in half. Someone could've broken a tooth! Piece shown in the photo is larger than a top to a water bottle and it was hard as a rock. If a child would’ve bit into it they could’ve choked! Seriously it was that hard and absolutely inedible!!
•Bo Bites (shown in photo): They literally ripped chicken tenders in half! Did they advise in the drive through when I ordered they were out of Bo Bites? NOPE!
•Rice and mashed potatoes were bland. Mac and cheese tasted like the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. Chicken was decent!
•I’m editing the review to add that another person who ate the food as well stated they couldn’t believe all the biscuits just fell apart. They had a sausage biscuit sandwich and after one bite the biscuit completely crumbled! So did their Bo-Berry biscuit.
There is NO excuse for all the issues! Clearly they want your money and don’t care about the quality of food they serve or customer satisfaction! If they did they wouldn’t be almost 2 months after opening still having so many issues (read earlier reviews). Management should’ve stepped up and fixed the issues as they know many will be coming to try the anxiously anticipated “new” Bojangles! Again, I’d stay away until they release something stating they’ve made some changes in staffing, procedures and the quality of...
Read moreUnacceptable Experience at Bojangles in Frederick, Maryland
I recently visited the Bojangles location in Frederick, Maryland, and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The primary concern was the well-being of the employees, who appeared severely dehydrated and were forced to fetch water from the fountain in small cups. One employee even waited in line during their lunch break to purchase a fountain drink! It's unconscionable that an establishment specializing in fried chicken and fast food wouldn't provide complimentary drinks to their staff, especially considering the sweltering kitchen heat.
Regrettably, the food was also subpar. Our order tasted burnt, suggesting a lack of proper training in the kitchen. To make matters worse, we ordered mac & cheese, only to discover it was unavailable after we'd already paid. Instead, we were substituted with a less expensive menu item that we didn't want. This is unacceptable and demonstrates a clear disregard for customer satisfaction.
Bojangles needs to address these issues promptly. Provide your employees with adequate hydration and proper training, and ensure that customers receive their ordered food in a timely and satisfactory manner. Until then, I will hesitate to return and would advise others to consider alternative options.
also, There were no lids, napkins, or honey readily available for customers. It wasn’t busy when we were there, yet the staff seemed unable to take the time to ensure that everything was stocked. We ended up having to get back in line just to get napkins because we couldn't get anyone's attention while standing off to the side.. Every employee ignored us. One drink cost four dollars. We got sweet tea, and when we went to get a refill, it was empty.
Go to Roy...
