Excellent! This is a quaint and wonderful little Italian corner restaurant in Frederick, MD. Our first experience here was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and we would definitely come here again! We were seated and serviced in a timely manner, the owners were very polite, curtious, and well informed about the dishes. It was family friendly, and they had a booster seat available for my 2 year old. We ordered the ravioli fritti as an appetizer, although a little airy, it was still delicious, especially the dipping sauce. For my entree, it was perfect all around. I ordered the Creste Di Gallo, and my spouse ordered Milanese. He said the only complaint he had was that he thought they had Alfredo sauce seeing as it came with linguini, as he’s not a fan of red sauce. The owner was kind enough to explain they only make tradition Italian pasta only and unfortunately don’t have that on the menu. However, my spouse did say the chicken on the dish was great, but he would not get this dish again. Finally, my two year old had the Bambini bolognese spaghetti pasta and I didn’t hear any complaints from him. He scarfed everything down. I would definitely recommend coming here and trying their fresh-made pasta. They said the sauce can take up to 8 hours to make and the fresh-made pasta can take nearly up to twenty days. Additionally, they also had a wide variety of olive oils, noodles, and sauce you can buy from them to make at home. You can really tell the owners love what they do and put effort into their dishes. Next time I will try the Squid Inc Bucatini pasta. Absolutely wonderful customer service, with caring workers. They didn’t even care when we stayed a little pass closing time to finish our meal and said “Don’t worry about the mess, we’ll clean it up.” My son made quite the art project on their floor lol and we would’ve cleaned it up too… but, they insisted it was fine. They were so great with my son and they have wonderful food, I felt like I took a little trip to Italy but was still in Maryland. A legitimate 5...

Talk about a little place producing big taste!
We made the drive from Germantown just after work to arrive in time before close (around 6pm) and it was a great way to cap off the day.
The owner was very friendly, and while it was a small gesture, it went a long way when he asked if I would like him to wear a mask because I was wearing one and he was not.
We placed our orders and within a very reasonable amount of time, our dishes were served - and the first impressions were great!
We received a healthy dose of shrimp in our Arrabbiata and a massive piece of breaded chicken in the Milanese.
The flavors were exquisite and the pasta was the best I have ever tasted! You could tell that there was a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients with everything made from scratch. The flavors just came through in every bite.
It's hard to say there's a stand out aspect in each dish, but what I feel might not get enough attention is the sauce. Generally, most sauces are either too bland, or worse...too acidic. But not here at Tempo Di Pasta! The sauce was very smooth, very balanced and perfectly seasoned.
I think what's understated here is that everything works together beautifully. There are no compromises. You can't say that ingredient or aspect A is better or worse than ingredient or aspect B. In the famous words of Thanos: "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be." But if Thanos was an Italian chef?
The price to portion ratio is also hard to beat. The prices are very competitive for the larger DC radius, but for the portion and quality, this is arguably the biggest "steal" ever.
Overall, it's a 5/5 for me. We're going back next week to try more. It's a shame we're moving several states away in just a couple of weeks, but hopefully more in the area find this gem, because they are punching well above their weight and put so many larger operations to shame.
THIS is Italian food...
Read moreApparently Tempo Di Pasta has been established in its downtown location for some time but I only recently heard of it through the FB app. Having an appreciation and love of real, homemade Italian food and after reading outstanding reviews, my mother and I had to go try. There's the old saying "if something sounds too good to be true, then it usually is".... BUT this thankfully does NOT apply here!!! Our first order turned out to be an absolute EXPERIENCE!! We were introduced to the lovely owners/family, Harold, Joseph and grandson. Harold and Joseph entertained us with the story of their Italian roots, love of culture, food and family and the importance of fresh, authentic ingredients. All food is homemade and truly with love. We got the Pasta Bolognese and Ravioli di Funghi along with two pints of homemade pasta and sauce for a later meal. Dessert also was too tempting to pass up, so we picked up two panna cottas with berry sauce. Each dish is prepared upon ordering - not made ahead of time and the "to-go" food packed and wrapped very carefully. Arriving home, we shared our food and had enough left for TWO more meals!!! The pasta was tender, cooked perfectly and oh so fresh!!! Likewise, the panna cotta is a very generous portion, so we split one (although I admit to having a slightly larger portion!), and again - DELICIOUS!! Creamy, not too sweet, just perfect. So we still have our pasta and sauce for another day which I absolutely expect to be every bit as fabulous and another panna cotta to share! We both feel that today we not only found a treasure of a restaurant but made some wonderful new friends in Harold and Joseph and their family! If you've never been and crave REAL Italian food, you absolutely MUST try! Tempo Di Pasta also has a food truck so look for it as well. I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you so much, Harold...
