March 2020: The coffee was great, but seating was an issue. There were no tables available at the time so I sat outside with temperature in the 30's. I would say that if you are not there extremely early, don't expect a table inside.
Follow-up 9-18-2021: Revisited this cafe, and had some good and bad observations. I arrived early, and there was no off street parking in the front of the building, and on-street parking on Saturdays was metered and had a 2-hour limit. The 2 hour limit is good, as all of the tables have stickers on them asking patrons to stay 90-minutes or less. I had planned on doing some writing and reviewing of some materials, but I took this as my cue to eat and leave.
This visit I had the unsweetened iced tea and the Shab Row Sammie, which was a breakfast sandwich composed of two slices of toasted bread, and egg patty, sausage patty and for my meal Pepper Jack cheese. The sandwich was on the bland side as the eggs and sausage were previously frozen and reheated with cheese. I could not taste the Pepper Jack cheese as I was eating it, but it was edible.
They have one disabled parking spot, which was used for unloading the car with supplies from the grocery and was left there for over 20 minutes after it was unloaded. Also, which is good and bad, they have plenty of outdoor seating available, but took away half of their already limited parking.
I will most likely visit again, but I will try something else off...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times. I’ve never had any issues with their flavored lattes. And I know right now they are under a lot of pressure while staying open during this virus. But my fiancé and I went this morning to treat ourselves, and support a local business. We both got large drinks, and we gave a decent tip as well. I got a simple almond milk latte, and was super disappointed. I know that these are the least of our concerns during this time, but I’m still spending money on a product that I know will taste great. The espresso was super over extracted. My latte was like if you took watered down coffee and add frothed milk to it. I know not all lattes will come out the same all the time, as a former barista. But this was super sad for me. :/
Update: I really want to support this local coffee shop, and it makes me really sad that I just cannot get over their non-sweet espresso/coffee beverages. I tried their cold brew, and it is good sometimes — but lacks consistency. I tried the nitro cold brew, and it’s just too watered down. Instead of that bold flavor with a bit of sweetness that most nitro cold brew has, it was just sour and watery. I actually ended up going to Dunkin afterwards for their cold brew.
The food is good, though, and if you like...
Read moreDidn’t want to leave a bad review until I’ve tried it a few times. The good. Employees. Super! The beverages. AMAZING dirty chai prob the best I’ve had. Take home Beans, great! The BAD-the food. It is just really bad. My gf and I have gotten a few things. Chicken salad sandwich came with maybe a spoonful of chicken on each side.barely seasoned,I got a Ruben that filled up about half the bread and was so thin. Soup was generic.Went again and tried breakfast and that wasn’t good either. Super generic small bagels(think of a Thomas frozen bagel, the fresh Thomas are even bigger and better) Bacon egg and cheese again didn’t even fill the entire bagel. They use the pre made egg Patty like McDonald’s, So it’s a one size fits all circle. The bacon is low quality pre cooked bacon they prob microwave quick like subway. Very thin slice of tasteless cheese. People seem to go crazy for it as this place is always packed that’s why I have it a few tries. If you what excellent customer service and a superb caffeinated bev, come here! If you want food, I’d skip it! We got two medium drinks ,bec on a bagel, bec on English muffin, 1 bag of chips and it was 30$ Drinks 8.5/10 Food 3.5/10 Prices -3/10 Pastries n/a ...
