I remember driving for Uber a couple years ago, and had dropped a couple off at this place, and said I was gonna go to try them, but never got around to it. Yesterday, August 16, 2025 around 9:30pm I finally had the chance to go here as I was craving steak for some reason lol. I didn’t want to go to Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse, and wanted to try an upscale place. Before entering the building, they have a cool projection of the restaurant logo that lights up on the ground which I thought was a nice touch. Upon entering, it has a great atmosphere, nice lighting, great music, and open concept. I did call to ask if they were reservation only, and they pretty much are, but since it was just me, I was able to get in. Bar seating is also available, but I chose a table. My servers name was Alice, and she was simply amazing, she knows the menu very well to have only been there for a month. They have a nice sized menu, with plenty of stuff to choose from. They also have a wide selection of wine and cocktails if you’re into that. Anyways, I went with the 14oz New York Strip cooked medium, with tallow butter (which is a small up charge). It came with two sides and I got the rosemary mash potatoes and the premium up charge side, Truffle Mac & Cheese. When I tell you this was the best steak I’ve ever put on my taste buds, I mean it. Great crust on the exterior, nice fat, cooked to perfection, with amazing flavors, and they even torched the tallow butter for me, that added such an incredible flavor to the steak that I’ll definitely have to do again in the future. The rosemary mash potatoes were so good, just wish the portion size of it was a little larger, but technically you could just get two portions when you think about it. The Truffle Mac & Cheese left me literally speechless! I felt like the food critic in the Ratatouille movie lol. The flavors coat your whole tongue and make it hard to put in words of how much I enjoyed it. I was so full that I couldn’t even get dessert lol. They do serve fresh bread with whipped butter while you wait for your food. But I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. All the staff were exceptional and made me feel very welcome. Shout out to Craig the manager for going around to the table making sure we were good. It is on the pricey side, but it’s worth it imo. It’s honestly nice to have a local place like this in Fredericksburg, and not have to drive all the way to Tysons or Short Pump. This place definitely is busy on the weekend, so I highly recommend making a reservation earlier in the week. Lastly, parking was the only problem some people may have as it’s in a city like area, and most spots require you to parallel park or walk a slight distance to get to the restaurant. It is right off the street, and they have great sound dampening inside, so you can’t hear anything outside when the door is closed. I highly recommend checking them out if you get a chance to, it’s a great spot for...
Read moreRead moreFarenheit 132 is a fairly small restaurant so I can see why they advise reservations. Oh, and get here early – parking spots are few and far between. The restaurant is housed in an older building. The interior has lots of wood and exposed brick. Pretty charming! There is a bar area and a dining room area. We had a reservation, and we were greeted and taken to our table promptly. Our waiter, James, was friendly with an engaging personality. He was knowledgeable about the menu and various alcoholic beverages. They present to you a MASSIVE wine and liquor menu. It’s daunting so good thing our waiter was all over it! The specialty cocktails are interesting and quite good. We tried the Tawny Port Old Fashioned and Ticket to Thailand. The service was up to the mark. Water glasses were kept full and dishes cleared. For entrees, we ordered the Miso Honey Glazed Salmon, Dry Aged NY Strip, Green Pea Truffle Risotto and the Filet Mignon. I was worried the Salmon would be overly sweet; however, our waiter assured me it was not. He was spot on. The salmon was cooked to MR with a light sauce on top. The sides were coconut rice (just tasted like rice to me) and General Tso’s Cauliflower. I am here to tell you that Cauliflower is flipping unbelievable! Seriously, I could just come and eat a plate of that! The waiter warned us that the Dry Aged NY Strip had a strong aroma and strong taste; however, none of us noticed that. It is a huge hunk of meat cooked perfectly to MR. Not sure our taste buds appreciated the dry agey-ness but it was a tasty steak. That Filet Mignon – it demands your full upright attention. Perfect crust on the outside with an oh-so-tender middle. Oh my umami! Just get this! The sides, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas, paled in comparison to the steak. We expected good old southern black eyed peas with chunks of ham/bacon but it was cooked with green onion and, we think, green chilis. It just wasn’t very flavorful. The Green Pea Truffle Risotto was ok. It is not an attractive dish, well, except for the pretty flowers on top. It definitely had a truffle flavor if that’s your thing. This is not your cheap date kinda place 3 Benjamins for four people. But if you can squeeze it into your budget, you will not be...
This was our first visit and we were very blown away. Let's start with the atmosphere: it's a beautiful cozy place with gorgeous lighting. It's not too hot or cold inside. The entire wait staff made us feel like royalty. Our server was Eric and he helped navigate us through the menu and made suggestions for us to try as first-timers. He answered our questions in detail and helped us make the best choices. For the appetizer we selected the burrata, which I was skeptical about as I am not one to order sun-dried tomatoes. Do not skip this of getting an appetizer! This made me want to get the recipe and recreate it at home. We were also given bread and butter before our meal. This is not simple bread and butter, my friends. On to the main courses: I ordered an 8 oz filet mignon, cooked rare. This was cooked to perfection and was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth irresistible. Make sure you opt for the in house seasoning, and I highly suggest adding the garlic butter spread. For my two sides I chose mashed potatoes that had a hint of garlic, and broccoli that definitely had a buttery taste, which makes it only that much better. Which one was better? I couldn't tell you, because I loved them both. My husband ordered the flank steak, cooked medium with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. After much deliberation, he said the mushrooms won between his sides. The dessert menu was brought and since nothing disappointed, we had to try something. We ultimately got two desserts and split them both. The coconut parfait that really surprised us with it's flavor, and the peanut butter pie, that can easily beat any competitor hands down. At this point of the meal, everything was so delicious, I almost started to cry. I really wanted to hug the chef for a wonderful piece of perfection. I didn't want the meal to end, but I knew it was time to head home. With a full belly, even the thought of the food makes my mouth water still. Everything was a culinary masterpiece. We are definitely going back and I will try to figure out how to hire the chef to cook for us in...
