I decided to try out orofino after hearing many good things about it, I was definitely not disappointed, the atmosphere in the restraunt had the feeling that you were in Rome and enjoying some time together on your vacation, we did have to wait a couple minutes after we booked our reservation but it was totally worth it. our server Sydney was very professional and super helpful on the recommendations that orofino provides. I ordered a side salad with the papdeldeli al ragu The side salad was very fresh and the sundried tomatoes were tasty(even though I'm normally not a fan of sundried tomatoes) The papdeldeli al ragu was absolutely delicious, it was probably the best pasta I think I have ever had in years We did get a desert as well, I don't exactly remember what the desert was, but it did contain almonds in this cake we all got to share, the cake was absolutely delicious All of the staff at orfino and our server gave us a friendly experience from start to finish, its wonderful having a local Italian spot where you can feel like you are in Italy even if you have not been there yet Service speed was pretty quick although it did take some time for the pizzas to arrive at our table Overall, best Italian gem here in Fredericksburg, I will be returning to orofino soon, hungry for more new items to try

Was back in town for a few days and decided to stop by Orofino for lunch and my only disappointment was that I didn't have room for dessert! I ordered the "Lunch Box" portion of Spaghetti Carbonara, which came with a choice of salad or soup of the day. I chose the side Caesar salad and was pleasantly surprised by the addition of the red onion and the portion size was perfect as a lunchtime starter. The star of the meal, though, was definitely the carbonara!! So rich and creamy with the perfect amount of pancetta and the addition of the table-side freshly ground black pepper gave a nice bite and allowed all the flavours meld together beautifully! The serving size of pasta was more than enough (for lunch or dinner, in my opinion), so I even had leftovers to take with me. The service was also wonderful, so I'm already looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town- and I just might opt to have dessert first, so that I don't miss out on it a second time!

Wow!!!! I have to admit that from all the Italian restaurants we have been on this side of the Atlantic, Orofino is the best representation of authentic Italian cuisine. Literally everything we had tasted as if we were eating in Italy. After spending 20 years in Europe, and traveling to Italy every year from 1997-2008 and then again from 2010-2017, I can confidently say that Orofino takes our top review so far. Everyone in our family knows a good Italian restaurant and this one is the best we have experienced in the US. The pizza, just like the one we experienced in Naples; the lasagna was like the one we had in Catania; the penne al pomodoro was simply cooked perfectly; the calamari was fresh and super tasty; and my favorite dish of all-time - the spaghetti carbonara - took me back to my first experience with this dish in Rimini during our honeymoon trip back in 1987! I simply cannot say enough good things about Orofino, one just has to experience it.

I have nothing but good things to say about Fredericksburg's newest "BEST DINING." It instantly became a favorite in my family. Orofino's features cuisine from a different region of Italy each month along with tried and true traditional fares such as linguine with clams; aka Vongole. Paired with an Italian wine, it's an uncommonly delicious experience. The simplicity of some of the dishes allows the fresh ingredients to speak for themselves. The food is bold and satisfying without being heavy; again, another attribute of homemade sauces with natural unprocessed ingredients. We like to complete our meal with a cappuccino and a heavenly piece of freshly prepared tiramisu. The outside dining area is charming in good weather and makes one feel as if they are seated at a classical Roman coffee bar. Reservations seem to be a must if you are going on a Friday or Saturday evening. With fine dining like this, trying to get a table without one may be futile.

Had an opportunity to eat at Orofino with my wife on Monday for Lunch and we really enjoyed it! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and gave us an option of inside or out. It was a really nice day and we chose to sit outside on their patio area. Table were nice, only complaint is one side of the table is a long bench that multiple table use, so it could be awkward when you’re sitting because it moves and if someone else is sitting their they move with you. Food was great, I had the daily special Pasta with Salmon, my wife had Pollo Balsmico Sandwich with homemade chips and she really enjoyed it. For Appetizer we had Mozzarella Fritta which were good, but I believe over price, they came with 3 Mozzarella Fritta for $11.00. The lunch combo's we had were priced well, averaging $10.00. Overall great experience and great food, definitely will be going back in the near future.

We came to this place on a whim. The inside is very cozy but small. I suggest making a reservation on a weekend unless you want to sit at the pizza bar. Every order comes with bread and olive oil mixture. Loved the flavor of the olive oil mix and the bread was very fresh. We ordered the Orecchiette Bari and a pizza ( Tre Pocellini ). The pizza is probably the closest pizza we found to another Italian pizza place in another county that we love and were missing the taste. My only complaint with the pizza is it is a bit soggy. I suggest they turn the heat up on their oven as they only set it to 380… quite low for a pizza oven (granted if this is C then it’s fine). The Orecchiette Bari was good. The pasta is almost like squished shells. The flavor of the sausage is nice and spicy. Sauce is good but didn’t seem to cost the pasta very well.
