First visit & will definitely be back. I read reviews before going as a first timer here. I met the "lady with the blue hair", as others described. She greeted me upon entry. Was more than polite and quite nice, actually. I had grabbed some chime holders much needed, and same or less price than anazon offers, and asked if I may set on the counter while looking. Let me express really quickly what I read in some of the other reviews. In a store of energy and the craft, and crystals, you don't walk around grabbing everything. And I'm not perfect at this because I have to remind myself often. But you also don't carry it around the store with you. If it breaks, its at their loss, not yours. This is a small bisiness that is privately owned and if you're not familiar with the culture and community surrounding, it may help to educate yourself. You're not in walmart, a multi billion dollar corporation. These people feel their losses deeper than you could probably imagine. Being my first time there and not knowing her and her not knowing me, I felt, without being directed by her at all, but my own moral compass, that of course I should leave my handful of items acquired at the counter with her, while I check out the other 2 rooms. It's a matter of basic respect or a lack of, that I see in near all negative reviews or possibly a lack of understanding. You cannot expect or demand respect while being disrespectful yourself. Should I own my own business one day after years of abuse in my current field, I'm likely not goibg to be tolerant of bs and ignorance either, and she has every right to set reasonable boundaries and expectations in her business. My trip was wonderful. She was wonderful. I purchased items like sapphire that I don't have and can't find elsewhere. Everything was beautifully organized and packaged. I purchased a much needed candle and was thrilled when she told me she made it herself and to bring pics after burnt and she would give me a free reading! This is actually something I want to learn more about. She let me know they have classes for meditation, etc. Which I love and definitely want to try. It was great, she was great, and I will definitely be back and can't wait for her reading of my...
Read moreI didn't write this right after I left because I didn't want to make a big deal of it. But after talking to my dad and mom I'm writing it.
I went to The Grove of Brite Blessings this morning around 10am to get some cyrstals for me and my mom. There's a small store in the back that has them. I go inside the cyrstal part and am browsing...then some guy comes up and asks if I have questions. I say no and tell him how I love cyrstals. He talks to me about how it's "his store" and shows me where they keep the special cyrstals that they cleanse in a copper bowl. He asked if i was looking for anything and i said "honey colored cyrstal". He finds it for me. I say thank you and i thought that was that. I kept saying "okay thank you,"to give him a hint to go but it didnt work. When we get to the wall of bagged cyrstals, he puts his arm around my waist. He then puts his hand on the back of my neck..tightens his grip and whispers so extremely close to my ear that my hair was in his mouth that I need to "love myself more" and other stuff. I was so uncomfortable and creeped out. I wanted to stay longer and buy more stuff but I was so uncomfortable and freaked out I left the room to pay for what I had. My dad was on the other side of the store so he didnt see.The older man left right after me even though there was 2 other people in the store and went into the back room behind the register. I don't know if he worked there or was really the owner of that part of the store but that was just way too much. I shouldn't have been touched at all. I regret not...
Read moreI went yesterday to get a malachite & tigers eye stone & a tapestry, when I first got there I asked where the stones were and if they had malachite and the lady rolled her eyes and thought I said moldavite and said “we never have it” in a attitude then I repeated myself cause i didn’t want moldavite I wanted malachite and she just pointed to a room looking all annoyed saying all the stones were in there. Don’t get me wrong the place itself is pretty and has a nice selection of crystals but this lady’s attitude wasn’t, so a couple minutes pass by and it was around 5:50 and she was closing up early for the day and I was still deciding on what tapestry I wanted and she was telling me in a rude way that she’s closing , on google I saw this place closed at 6 pm so I thought I had a couple more minutes but I guess not, I work retail and I understand how it is where you want to leave early and close up for the day on weekends I would’ve got my things ready to go quietly and fast if she asked politely but she didn’t , she had a nasty attitude. And when I asked her where the checkout was cause I didn’t see any registers in that area, she rudely said “it’s at the front” while rolling her eyes and gathering her stuff so I hurried along , got my stuff and left. Never returning, this was my first time and last time going to that store, they need to hire someone else with a bright and welcoming energy not this lady who seems annoyed...
