Shocking experience- All steaks cooked wrong 3 of them. Two were overcooked and one RAW! Even on the re-order it was still raw. Worse then the first. The manager said that that was just how they make them for medium rare. I guess he didn't know that the hell's kitchen general managers son was at the table. Nice try Diddy. The manager was rude and just walked away dumping the raw meat on the table. It was also extremely misleading that the 3 course meal you get crème brûlée cheesecake. All of the regulars know exactly what cheesecake that is and we got cheesecake bites that were half the size.
That was extremely deceptive and misleading for all of the customers. You should say you get bites. This place has gone downhill I think outback is better than them now. All the steaks look different too in size and shape I think on the reorder it was possible that they used a frozen or semi frozen fillet. That is the only way the center is that raw. Someone needs to teach the chefs to use a thermometer. When we spend over $200 for dinner this is unacceptable.
For the price they are charging they need to do way better then this. Their prices are insane they are going to Chase all of the regulars out of there. If the manager Chris running the place thinks that completely raw meat is medium rare then he should be fired. No wonder all 3 steaks cooked wrong. It would probably help if the steaks were the same height going across the steak. I'm not sure if somebody doesn't know how to cut them or if their vendor is doing that, but there is a great variation just on one steak the height at one end is different than the middle and the other end. you would expect that when you're buying something from Walmart but not at a fine dining restaurant. They were also out of carrots at 730 pm on a Saturday night. crazy. I remember when this place used to be great, but they have lost all...
Read moreMy wife and I tried Firebirds for the first time yesterday, and couldn't have been more impressed. We were looking for a 'nicer' steakhouse than the ones we'd frequented previously, and Firebirds had wonderful ratings, so we decided to give it a try.
Due to those ratings, my expectations were fairly high, and I'm happy to say they were exceeded. Parking is a small issue, as there's no parking directly adjacent to the restaurant, but there's PLENTY a short walk away. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant's ambiance is impressive. The signature wood-fire grill is positioned to be seen, and the ceilings are high. The tables are larger than usual, and all the furnishings were solid, comfortable, and there was no sign of 'wear and tear'.
The menu includes an extensive wine list, which we didn't partake of, but it was definitely notable. Our waiter (Dylan) was excellent throughout the meal. Highly attentive, very low-pressure and friendly. We kept him hopping with drink refills and he was always on the ball, and laughed it off when we apologized for running him around.
My wife and I each opted for steak, with her getting the bleu cheese sirloin, while I chose the pepper-encrusted filet. It's not hyperbole to say that these were the best steaks we've ever eaten. From the first bite, we were both amazed at how flavorful they were, and they were cooked to perfection.
The price was a little higher than usual, but WELL worth it for the quality of the experience. The food was incredible, the wait staff was on top of their game, and the restaurant itself just had a wonderful vibe. We've been raving about it to friends and family since yesterday, and we will DEFINITELY...
Read moreWe arrived on a Monday in May around 6:00 PM. We had a reservation as we had a group of about 12 people. We were taken to our table immediately. The interior is bright and open with high ceilings and lots of wine bottles mounted on the walls. The staff is friendly although the service was a tad slow. Dirty plates were left on the table too long, but they were eventually picked up. The wine list has a good selection with many common ones you can find at Costco but with a much higher price tag. There are about a half a dozen draft beers, and they offer more in bottles. The food menu isn’t huge but there is enough to please everyone. Steak dominates so carnivores rejoice! Very good bread and butter was delivered to the table. For an appetizer, we had the Deviled Eggs. The egg whites were fully stuffed and piled high. It was definitely different with a spicy and sweet combo including maple bacon, jalapeno slices and a hot sauce drizzle on the side. They were yummy! For my dinner, I settled on the Seared Tuna Salad while my spouse got the Colorado Chicken Salad. The Tuna Salad was very good but expensive for a salad. The Tuna was fresh, tender, lightly seared and not covered in spices. The Chicken Salad (also pricey) was a good combination of flavors, but the chicken was obviously precooked as it was dry. Several of our seatmates ordered the rib eye steak which they said was great. Several others got the burgers, and they ate them right up. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience just be prepared to spend some $$$. FYI – There is limited parking in front so there may be walking involved from the large parking area behind...
