They should change the name to Ghost Town Centre. There are plenty of shops closed or about to close and the only busy shop in this mall is Chicken Filet. This is doomed mall simply because of the way it’s managed . The administrators need to be creative and think outside the box instead of imitating other malls. The street mall located behind Spotsylvania Town Center was great idea except it’s too dying & stores closing down. For both locations; the Town Center & the street mall; administrators need to do all kind of festivities to revive the area before it’s too late . I believe if they spend more money on extravagant festivities and loose money for 2-3 months is better than closing down both locations and loose billions...
Almost Two years ago; I wrote the above reviews NOT to bring the Mall down & just criticize its operation but frankly I was hoping the owners & retailers will save the Mall & think outside the box instead the owners of the Mall neglected the Mall so badly that’s in my opinion it’s too late now to do anything to save it !!!! Have you seen the stores that closed recently? Have you noticed the Mayhem & the lack of security that’s making it hard to shop safely especially at nights. Additionally; the place is run down and cleanliness is becoming a major issue. Several major stores are planning on closing this year and no one knows what will happen to the next nay Mall around in the area.!!! I am REALLY DISAPPOINTED with the owners ; I can understand what the Pandemic have done to our Economy but you can’t just give up & surrender; you MUST adapt, compromise & try to stand tall in front of any Pandemic. No one said it’s easy. But there are plenty of other Malls that have done it & they are striving today...
Read moreThey have an Indoor Mall and an Outdoor Mall. On nice sunny days, it's great to walk outside, while shopping, or enjoying your lunch, at one of the many restaurants, or a nice cool ice cream during hot days, while sitting outside and enjoying the sunrays.
The mall has frequent and fun activities. Today my boys loved to attend the Kid's Festival. Every year my husband and I like to take the kids to enjoy the xmas music with the Show of lights. Chick Fil-A does a lot of activities in the mall for youngsters with their families.
What I'm most grateful is having Wiggle Worms inside the mall. I can leave the kids up to 5 hours and go shopping, mostly during Xmas time, do errands outside the mall or if I need to go to any of my Doctors' appointments.
The play area inside the mall can get a little too crowd sometimes if you go at the busiest time of the day or of the year. I think the time between 1 and 3 pm are the best to enjoy it. I used to take my 4 years old then have lunch with him, walk around, then relax at the play area. My son would play in the area while I'd be drinking my coffee, then by 3 we would head to pick up his older brother out of school.
If I have to"drag" the boys On "Costco days" I would give them lunch there (pizza or hot dog), and I would eat costco's turkey "Panini" style.
Having the Mall within distance and so many services, as a parent, it makes our life a lot easier, and less...
Read moreThis is about mall "security" policy not shopping. Have repeatedly worn a very thin type hoodie (not a thick sweatshirt type) to cover up a scalp condition. I just go to the food court and sit to eat my food alone not causing ANY problems. On my 6th visit Paulette Blart tells me I can't have my hoodie on in the mall. I promptly gathered my remaining food and left. Hoodies are a "security" issue because they cover the head but at least 2 dozen other people in my immediate vicinity were wearing baseball caps, which the brims can obscure the face on cameras, and various styles of headwraps covering way more than I was covered all sitting and walking around unmolested. So I guess if I had lost my hair from chemo instead of having a benign scalp condition I would have to subject myself to all kinds of humiliation to shop/eat there because I wouldn't be allowed to cover my head with a hoodie instead of a bandana that screams " I have cancer!" just as loudly as a bald head does (which also violates my right to medical privacy but who cares about that right?) while others can wear whatever they want because they're exempt from following rules that others have to. I will gladly drive to another location for my food. You can keep your damn mall and shove it where the sun...
