Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

Arrived at midweek early afternoon on the first day of opening. It was busy with approximately 15 people in the service line that did however move quickly. There was also a dozen employees. There is some seating available on the inside of the store as are restrooms. There is a menu with a large assortment of different types of sandwiches on the backboard along with a paper takeout menu. I ordered a club supreme, came with roast beef, turkey, swiss, applewood smoked bacon and mayo. Most sandwiches have three different prices ranging from about $7.50 for the mini size to $10.95 for the regular size and the giant size of anywhere from 18 to $19.00. You have four different types of breads to choose from white, wheat, rosemary parmesan and gluten free. I added additional toppings like tomatoes which was generous, shredded lettuce, oil and vinegar and pepper along with some pickles. The sandwich tasted excellent. You can add chips and drinks. They have a chips and drink combo for about $4.50 or individually you can purchase a bag of chips for $2 and a fountain drink for about $3. There is also a kids meal menu for $6.50. Overall, my experience was good even though it was opening day and they were busy. Got my 2 cold sandwiches quick but waited at least 30 minutes for my 2 hot sandwiches. The staff seemed more focused on the online orders and instead of working those in between in-store customers. They make you wait and take care of the online orders that aren't even there to pick up yet. I get there's a time to have those done by but what happen to common courtesy and taking care of the people who are standing in front of you first? One of the staff members also wasn't very kind and had an attitude towards customers like we were bothering him. Manager cut bread in half for medium then cut 2 more inches off. I questioned and he said he was the Manger and this was a half. Since when is a four inch sub a medium. What was he going to do with the 2 inch cut of bread. I walked out and will not go back. Terrible Terrible. Have been there many times and never been treated like that. Wake up upper management have a lower with a bad attitude working for you. Oh by the way I was a director of an HEB for 25 years. He needs to be corrected and fast.
