I had a recent very bad experience at the this location. First, I am (was at this point) a regular, and typically the place is great with many people greeting me personally by my name when I walk in.
Presently they have reduced hours due to staffing shortages -- and that is perfectly fine. It is what it is.
Unfortunately they have many times reduced the traffic to drive through only. I understand that, and again no problem with that.
The other day I got to the store, and entered the drive through line. The line was full all the way through to the speaker. There is just enough room for one more car in the 'way out of the line' portion of the line, so I got in. The wait was pretty bad with no movement. But in the meantime another 2 cars had gotten in line beind me -- I hadnt ordered and could not move forward to leave, could not move to the side and leave, and could not back out. I was stuck.
After about 8 minutes the line finally moved one car, enough where I got to the order speaker. Where I was informed they had closed effective 3 minutes previously. And I was stuck in the line completely.
I had to get out of my car and wave off the three cars in back of me to leave at that point.
I was a tad irked at this -- if they close in that manner they should physically put a sign in the lane to shut off customers. Because of their lack of doing this -- I literally lost 15 min in line.
But it got worse. I called the store on the way home., telling them the issue, and telling them I was a little put off by the situation. Zero apology was extended. None. Zilch.
Then they effectively said 'too bad'. The exact words were 'we looked at the line and no one was there at close.' That may have been. But that isnt the issue. The issue I called about was being trapped in line for 15 min at that point -- with no notice of the early close. When the person repeated the above, I took that as the equivalent of 'too bad'. And I kind of blew up on the phone.
In short, I have a lot of star points. I am going to use them to bring it to zero, and based on the absolute lack of apology, and absolute lack of them even to attempt to listen to the issue -- you can count me as an ex- customer of...
Read moreWorst experience ever at a Starbucks. I go to Starbucks all of the time, all over the country, and even in airports, and even the airport Starbucks, who are low-staffed and always busy, are much better than the customer service I received here. Last night at 7:13 pm, I placed an online app order; we showed up at 7:20 and they would not allow us in to get our drinks, stating that they closed at 7:30 that night, yet they apparently had failed to turn off the online ordering. I called the store and she said they could not let us in, but we could come back in the morning. They refused to give us a refund. We are from out of town, and at first, could not have come back, but ended up changing our plans so that we could come back in the morning. I finally got to order at 8:02 am after waiting for 8-10 min in line and explained my situation from last night. There was no apology for the inconvenience and no hurry to make my order either. I watched as multiple people who ordered in store after me received their drinks. Finally after 20 min, I asked about my drinks and she said they didn’t have my order; then a minute later said oh, it just came through. 10 min later (so a total of 35-40 min) we finally received our drinks. I am normally impressed by Starbucks and their employees and management teams. There have been so many times where other locations have gone above and beyond. I’m utterly...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Starbucks location. After receiving a drink that smelled off, I suspected the milk might be spoiled. When I called the store to inform them, I was shocked by the unprofessional response from the employee who answered. He introduced himself as a manager named Achilles, which was hard to believe given his behavior. Instead of addressing my concern seriously, he seemed amused and even asked for my phone number to better assist me. I worked in corporate and know when I’m being bullshitted .
This is not an isolated incident. It is the fourth or fifth time I have received a questionable drink prepared by this same employee. As a loyal customer, I expect better quality control and customer service. If I wanted such a disappointing experience, I could have gone to Dunkin' Donuts in Kerrville for half the price. Until this location improves its standards, particularly around proper product handling and customer service training, I will be spending my money elsewhere.
Spend the rest of my break typing this out hopefully the actual manager sees this because is it really worth jeopardizing someone’s health and your own job to make a silly little drink to impress your friends . This is actual coffee that real people spend their money on. Do better and heal your...
