We arrived at lunchtime on a Wednesday. To a completely empty restaurant. Only one person came in the whole time we sat here. We started out with the restroom and washing our hands. Only one of the stalls will walk. Once the chips and also were served, we sent back the chips because they seemed stale and cold. We were brought warm fresh chips. We waited a long time for our food oddly, being the only three people in the restaurant. Once our meals were served, they were all cold or barely lukewarm. Including the beans and rice. The chicken fajitas were served on plastic melamine plates, not sizzling. as we were eating, we discussed the chicken a spice or flavor of that we couldn’t identify as a Mexican flavoring. The one chimichanga served, was Dewey and cold, not flaky and crunchy. Mostly inedible. We barely saw the waitress, and when she finally came around, she was told we were not satisfied. And she just shook her head OK. I’m surprised that there are better reviews recently. We were unhappy and we...
Read moreFood was 7/10 but salmon was hard, I loved the ambience, however Melissa my server acted as if she didn’t really know what was on the menu and what they had also, I saw a deal they were having on their facebook page that shows their address and phone number and it showed that they were having a monday margarita sale all day for only $5, also when i walked in on the windows by the tables it shows they have happy hour everyday 3-8pm. The waitress who helped us said there is no happy hour on Mondays and there is no such thing as the margarita Monday their Facebook page posted… very misleading, i will visit again and try them again because the food was really good and affordable. We were charged full price for all drinks :( we also wanted nachos that we saw on the happy hour paper but was also told that is only starting on Tuesday but online it shows you are closed...
Read moreWe had wanted to try this restaurant since moving to College Heights last year. Based on recent reviews and the location being only a 10 minute walk from our house, we expected to love this place. The service and food were ok and the salsa was good, however the salsa is served in a small condiment bowl not big enough to dip a chip, and the complentary chips were cold and stale. The chips also seemed like they were from a bag and not homemade. The restaurant is in an old house that looks and feels a bit shabby, and the "dining" part of the house was not air conditioned; not sure if that was by choice or because the A/C wasn't working the day we went. Our overall dining experience was underwhelming, however we are planning to return in the hope that our experience...
