My favorite park in the city. There's SO much you can do! whether it's watching the old people do remarkably well at pickleball or hang a hammock in the trees, it's always a good time. There's tons of green space for humans and dogs alike to play, as well as a decent amount of tennis and pickleball courts. There are two playgrounds which are divided by age of the child, a wall for tennis, handball, or whatever sport you want I guess, as well as basketball hoop. Also check out meditation rock for a bit of history. And now there are bathrooms! Yay!

Pretty cool park with a quick stop to see the prayer rock used by George Washington's mother. Amazing tree watching over the cemetery and rock. A storm knocked down several trees but the large very old protection tree was seemingly untouched perhaps protected by a greater force. With a stop while in the area.

Kenmore Park is perfect for people of all ages and group sizes. Playground, tennis courts, a hill to climb, picnic tables, and cool places to relax. It offers a venue for afternoon park trips, birthday parties, pickle ball games, catching up with old friends, and more.

Lovely historical home & garden depicting the life of George Washington's mother and his extended family. Very well run and informative for all individuals seeking to reconnect with our countries heritage. Certainly a must see for all travelers commuting on I-95. It's easily accessible from major thoroughfares & is structured in a way that families can both tour the house and be free to unwind casually walking the gardens! Not to mention that one can take a stroll up & down the avenue observing many other spectacularly preserved...

Tony and I spent the night in Fredericksburg MD in hopes of being able to get into some of these lovely historic sites But many of them were closed due to Covid-19

This Plantation home was the house of Fielding Lewis and his wife Betty Washington, the sister of George Washington. Their mother, Mary Washington is buried very close to her home.

The Plantation grounds were closed but we were able to see the house and outer buildings from the gate. We are planning another trip back in...
