Iāve been living in Freehold for 27 years, yet I couldnāt even name another food court restaurant, let alone endear myself to any so much as I have Little Tokyo. When I was a little girl, I would so look forward to their INIMITABLE teriyaki dark meat chicken samples, and I spent my first wages ever on an actual meal from this place. It is a time-tested fixture at the Freehold mall, a must-have if you ever work or shop here and still a reliably fast and delicious option for me when I am in the area. Iām pretty sure Iāve been helped by the exact same woman at the front of the line my entire life, and she gives me a big smile every time I see her. This is truly the only place I will go for Americanized Chinese food and enjoy it at all. My go-to: 2 sides, 2 entrees - string beans and plantains, double teriyaki chicken. Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not order the Sesame Chicken. It is all fried coating, no chicken. 2 pieces had chicken, and the remainder was all coating. The tray container they serve food in has 1 main compartment and 2 small compartments for sides. The sign advertises $10.99 for 1 protein/chicken and 2 sides. I ordered and received the noodles in the large compartment and chicken and vegetables in the side compartment. They added a little more fried coating(they call chicken) on top of the giant pile of noodles. The noodles and vegetables were good. I was charged approx $13.60. Turns out that if you do not specify, they give you a large. Well, it is only large noodles. No chicken. Do not order anything here that has a coating. There was NO chicken in it. I am not a picky eater. I feel I was cheated. I didn't want anything I didn't pay for, I did not get what I paid for. I am never ordering from here...

My personal favorites are the teriyaki and hibachi chicken, the spare ribs are great as well. Seasons change, time flows onward, but this chicken will always be DELICIOUS. Do I take a moment and affirm that every bite is delicious between bites? Yes. Deliver the savory goodness to your flavor receptors. Take a moment, just for you, where the world and all its problems melt away with a hint of ginger and honey. Because skillfully crafted and scrumptious food can help us through even the most dire...
