FUNBOX FREEHOLD — Attraction in Freehold Township

I wanted so much to give it more stars then I am. Now do not get me wrong not the worst place, but not in the summer time. I will start with staff, they were not pleasant at all, they were not welcoming so from the beginning it turned me off. Then my son and I both got a water and he got shaved ice, my bottle of water fell where the shaved ice syrup is and when I asked the women is it possible for someone to get it out or maybe replace it, all I got was looked at and a “oh well” I didn’t complain in the moment but maybe I should have. When staff is unfriendly it just makes it feel uncomfortable. Now let’s talk about the bouncy houses. I understand it’s the summer time but it’s unbearable inside them, yes they are spacious but to hot. Our feet were burning and it was just uncomfortable. There really should be some kinds of fans in there or something. It became so unbearable and uncomfortable that my son (age 11) and I had to leave. We were there for 20-25 mins at most. We weren’t the only ones leaving. Parents with young kids were also leaving due to the heat. Now did they get a refund I am not sure. Due to how staff was while walking in I didn’t want to complain. As we were walking out no one even said goodbye, that’s just a turn off. All around I just wish it was a better experience. We were so excited to go and enjoy it but unfortunately we didn’t. At $24 to $34 a ticket (PRICEY!) this is a really fun adventure for kids BUT there are some things they could improve on. Funbox decided to set up in the parking lot of the Freehold Mall during a really hot time of the year. The sun is scorching down on you as you chase your children around this massive bouncy house. You will SWEAT, you will BURN, and you will be freaking exhausted. Bring your own water if you can carry it in a light backpack as one bottled water was $4 - holy hell!

1.) Dear Funbox, choose a different time of year so that we are not roasting like chicken under the sun. The FALL is a better time to run this thing. 2.) PLEASE PLACE THE FUN BOX UNDER A TENT OR SHADE MORE AREAS!! I do not understand why the fun box does not have more shade. EVERYTHING WAS NOT TO THE TOUCH. You literally ROAST under the sun. I want a refund! Wish they didn’t mislead people on their website. I paid in advance the day before for 4 VIP passes for The 6 o’clock slot only for them to cut my two hour short because they fail to mention to me on the website or in person that the whole event closes at 7:30 but still charged me the full VIP package. The only difference between a standard and a VIP package is that I just got a snow cone out of it so I kind of felt like I was robbed out of my money and playtime for our little ones. Another issue was that even though I arrived 15 minutes earlier like the prompt said on the website there were still a line for tickets and not another line separate for people who already bought the tickets. And I was told I cannot go ahead Until everybody in front of me paid for their ticket and entered. I feel like that isn’t fair to people who pre-order it doesn’t make any sense to pre-order if you’re not going to accommodate for people who plan ahead....
