Thinking of going to Pups of War? Let me save you the trip! The Freehold location is a nightmare. I’m sorry this is so lengthy..I put a review on their Facebook but they deleted it AND BLOCKED ME. I took my 2 children there today ( November 10th). It was insane. I expected it to be busy as schools were out this week. They had 1 employee working which clearly was not enough. This poor employee could not keep up! After I finally got my children checked in, they were given the Pups socks and watched the safety video. Than waited in another line for the same employee to help another group of children who needed help bc their Nerf guns were not working or simply bc they just needed help with them. All the while, my children’s time was ticking away. My boys finally got their turn, picked their nerf gun, and off they went into the room of what seemed like cardboard type shelters to hide behind. All of the children were maniacs in there and rightfully so! They were having a blast running free UNSUPERVISED. I heard a few children complain the small balls (that you could pay an up charge to use) hurt and felt like a paintball. The kids could be shot at with these 2 feet away, or at someone’s face. There is no supervision. My kids nerf guns fell apart for lack of better words a few times. They had to go back into the lengthy line and wait for the amorist as the manager called him to come over, when he wasn’t checking in people up front, to help all of these children. Keep in mind, standing there waiting just ate up their time yet again. I finally pulled my kids out of line to leave. As I did so, a nerf dart flew over their “mesh barrier” and hit me in the head! No biggie just added to the chaos! My children were not sad to leave early. I contacted the manager, who I was like in contact with earlier this week. He was a lovely gentleman on Wednesday. Today, I would speak differently of him. He proceeded to tell me, their arena has camera so the amorist can view the children the entire time. I politely told him, that poor employee barely had time to breathe. There should have been AT LEAST 1 more employee there. He also told me I should know my children, and know their pain tolerance as far as the nerf bullets, balls. First of all sir, it wasn’t even my children complaining of the pain of the nerf balls. It was just something I observed and commented on bc there is no supervision but thank you for commenting on what you think my parenting should be. Dan also felt it necessary to tell me, the line to repair the nerf gun or help the children with their guns is bc the children pick guns they cannot use. His staff will advise them to pick a certain one they feel they are capable of using, but “kids won’t listen” to quote him. That was not the case here today..my boys picked and they were given. The employee had no time to advise against their choice if he felt it was a poor one. They just kept falling apart. I could go on and on about this conversation I had with the manager Dan. It is a poorly run establishment and Dan has terrible customer service skills. I was tempted to stand outside and tell people not to waste their money!...
Read moreVery disappointed with our experience at the new Freehold location. First off, we reserved a party room for 15 kids all ranging in ages from 4 to 9 years old, and we really wanted to supervise the younger kids. Apparently parents are required to purchase Pups of War socks to literally walk across their arena floor to the party room. $3.75 for a pair of socks, per person, to walk across a floor.. not play, but to walk across a floor to our kids and to supervise them in their party room. After paying $575 for a party package, we now have to pay for socks to walk across a floor. Understood it’s policy as, we were told it was for insurance purposes, so then these socks should be given as a courtesy to parents who want to be with their kids. We were also told that if we didn’t want to purchase socks and wanted to remain in the waiting area, we could and that the staff hosts would supervise our kids. Upon watching the kids from that waiting area, the staff there were not supervising our children, as one by one, they came out crying that other kids from other parties were targeting them, surrounding them and shouting to put their hands up, and shooting our kids in the back of the heads and neck. The people working were repeatedly notified of these issues and each time we were told they would handle it but that never really happened. So all parents purchased socks to walk across a floor, to make sure our kids were okay and to supervise our own kids in our party room, that we paid for. Upon entering and talking with one of the employees about how awful it was that we would have to pay extra for these socks, I was told “Well you did receive this package at a discounted rate” which was nothing I never knew of… nothing stated on the website or anything about a discounted rate. In the party room, employees did not help us clean our tables for dessert, we did it all. Then we gave out dessert and we cleaned up again. And now we are all in these socks, we go to the restroom in the party room area (shoes are all in the front of the arena) and after stepping on the bathroom floor in our socks, we go out to the arena in those said socks. Definitely not the most hygienic practices. Ultimately the kids did have fun, but through us parents consoling our own kids after being targeted, pleading with staff to help us, shelling out additional money for socks to supervise our own children, dishing out dessert on our own. Unfortunately with these practices, I don’t think we will be back and I would not recommend. Especially after we contacted the manager and he wouldn’t really do anything to address...

The workers were fine, but when I talked to the supervisor on the phone he proceeded to SCREAM at me on the phone while I was talking to him nice and professional. Thanks a lot DAN. He was extremely rude to me on the phone and my guest had to eat at 8:15 (party ended at 8:30), my sister had to go get pizza for the guest with HER WON MONEY because the pasta they gave us had pork. He then proceeded to tell me that I only ordered kosher for the pizza, the reason for that is that it didn't say on the menu that the pasta had meat in it, so I didn't think i would order kosher for it. I was his job to ask me if meat was okay in my pasta. I was trying to be considerate with DAN on the phone and he did not let me speak once. Every time I tried to speak, he would cut me off and scream over me. I never got refunded for my pasta that he got wrong. He made it seem like it was no big deal and he told me that my diet would be fine but it’s for RELIGIOUS REASONS. He made it seem like it was my fault that HE got my order wrong. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with my experience. I will NEVER be...
