Went to this recently opened Indian Restaurant in freehold raceway mall next to Cheesecake Factory. Decor is blend of modern and ethnic Indian .. little offbeat for a traditional Indian restaurant but I must tell you FOOD is what will get you happy here !! The flavors which the chef infused into the dishes look me back to streets of NewDelhi, India. Was pleasantly surprised when I took the first bite into the tandoori Chicken. The masala (spices) were just right and chicken was cooked perfectly to the right level maintaining its tenderness and spices infused till the bone. They limited the Heat level as many don’t like very spicy hot .. which I believe is the right way to cook. Tandoori Fish is not at all easy to make and that too with Salmon. The Chef at Royal Ganesha did that right too .. yumm!! Butter chicken reminded me of a Dhaba(roadside eatery) in Connaught place Delhi.. we used to wait atleast 40-80 mins for our turn . Royal Ganesh has it. Suggest order medium spicy if you order this one mild might be on a sweeter side. Saag chicken was also well done!! Will be there soon to try more new dishes They are new and are adding more to the menu.. interesting to see some traditional Punjabi dishes like Kadhi Pakoda ( chick pea fritters in yogurt gravy) and May more veg dishes on menu . God part is this place is BYOB and is right priced unlike some others in Freehold and Edison who are selling the same old at 2-3X. Overall a big...
Read moreI came here today for the lunch buffet and it was good. If you are a meat eater, you would love this place because they have a good amount of meat options from chicken tikka masala to Tandoori chicken.
There are two things that I would suggest though: 1) I am a vegetarian and I wished there were more vegetarian options included in the buffet (most of the vegetarian options were potatoes and fried pakora). Some good suggestions would be palak paneer, vegetable briyani, or vegetarian samosas. I feel like if there were more variety for vegetarians that would be great for both meat and veggie eaters. 2) The restaurant is very clean and spacious but I would suggest a slight change in seating. For those who do the buffet, they would need to sit on this really long table along with other customers. This makes it a bit difficult because families cannot sit face to face and instead they are all placed in one horizontal direction. I know families who have kids, it would be easier if the families could be sitting closer together. Maybe add more chairs or have the chairs facing each other across that long table instead of having all the chairs on one side.
But besides from those suggestions, the buffet is very clean, the waiters are kind, and the atmosphere is nice (the person in charge of the music has great taste). If you are going to the freehold mall, be sure to come here for dinner or have a nice lunch...
Read moreDear Sunpreet arora, first of all we were a group of 5 that went there on saturday november 30th. if you want proof check your camera grom 2-3pm. we later spoke with the other guests outside the hotel who also dined there and they were very upset as well. how about you fix your stupid hotel first. we paid the full price for half the menu. half the items advertised as the buffet weren't even there. we dine in all types of restaurants and very often and we always tip extremely well. last time we were at spice kitchen in pennsylvania and the food was very good and we had tipped our server $45. after that at pancake house we tipped our server $20. your restaurant on the other hand didnt have half the items available for the buffet. no lassi, no pani puri, no dhokla, no chicken, no naan (we had waited 25 mins, etc. everything advertised was no there. the food was cold and flavorless and tasted as if it were left over. at least be courteous enough to apologize than calling our reviews fake. you pay people to make reels and dont have the items shown in the vids. if you still dont beilve me check your cams nov 30th 2pm or how about you call me ill be there in person to talk to you. plus what resteraunt charges a service fee of $25 for a buffet?? i wiuldnt mind paying it if the food and service was sufficient but you failed miserably in all aspects of your resteraunt. sad. a donkey always praises...
