Unfortunately we will not be back. We’ve passed this place numerous times and decided to try it out for a date night. Photos on their website made it look like a really nice restaurant but once I saw ketchup on the table I knew it wasn’t going to be the greatest. The menu looked great and so did our food when it arrived. I ordered the surf & turf medium well for the filet mignon, received well done :( also the Alaskan King Crab legs that came with my meal were beyond salty and overly fishy, some parts were warm others were cold. my fiancé order the porterhouse medium well it was also over cooked and extremely tough. The bread that was served on the beginning was extremely average. I had the French onion soup and it was very different from any French onion soup I’ve ever had or made, I don’t recommend it. The flaming cheese was average and very small. Our entrees came with a side of pasta. I got the garlic & oil which honestly was the best part of my meal, however my fiancé got the marinara and it was very sweet and not enjoyable. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived but by the time we left we were shocked to see how busy it got. I think if you’re looking for a place to eat fried food or a salad, you may enjoy it. For $180 (including tip) I would not recommend this restaurant for steak or surf & turf :(

Amazing Place, Amazing Steak !! I stopped at Angelo's for dinner while in the Monore area for business. I was in the mood for steak and after looking at reviews for steakhouses in the area, Angelo's was the best choice. When I entered without a reservation, the hostess brought me to a lovely table in the center of one of the dining rooms. I had a chance to take in the place and see what people were ordering. I decided on the Soup De Jour, which that night was beef soup. My main course was a classic 14 oz New York Strip. Angelo's serves all steaks with their in-house seasonings, mushrooms and their proprietary steak sauce. The soup was very good and a nice precursor to the main course. I chose not to have any bread or any other appetizers as a 14oz steak for me is filling enough. I watched as many tables got their steak and saw what I was about to eat. When my steak came, I had it medium rare, and Angelo's grillmasters made it a perfect medium rare. The steak had so much flavour to it, and you could tell the cut was a high-quality cut. It was a very well-made steak !!! My server was great and although I was dining alone, he made sure to check on me and make my meal and the experience was top-notch. Next time I'm in the area, I will return as I had a great meal and experience at Angelo's.

This place is certainly something. Prices are not clear and are a surprise when the bill comes. When you ask for an explanation one is given but the numbers/logic/math behind it doesn’t make sense. I was charged $32(!!!!!) for an old fashioned with Sazarec rye. This is outrageous. The list price for a 1.5 oz pour was $18. I can buy a handle of the stuff for $50. The explanation was “it’s a double pour in an old fashion”. Roll that beautiful bean footage - I strongly question if 3(!) oz of readily available rye was actually in that bevvie. The drink was further made questionable by the muddled cherry and orange slice(!). Typically there is an orange peel and an Italian cherry on a cocktail toothpick - not fruit muddled to the point of disintegration. Stopping in for a drink was a mistake I won’t repeat. The business socials should have been the first tell - peep the Insta…beer is served in water cups - incorrect glassware posted with pride? A tell of a subpar place if ever there was one.

Updated!!! We returned exactly two weeks later. Everything was great!!! Steaks cooked perfectly. Our server, Nicole, was excellent!!! This was probably the best meal that I have had in weeks. Lol. I am extremely happy.

Not gonna ding them on the stars because this place is typically awesome. We have been going there since it opened up. We had a bad experience tonight though. The perfect storm I suppose. Normally I’m laid back and go with the flow but this irritated me tonight. We came in, got seated quickly and greeted by our waitress quickly. We placed our order quickly, two steak dinners. My wife ordered the side salad and I ordered the cheeseburger soup. Both were delivered to our table swiftly. Moments after the waitress left we realized that we had no silverware. No knife to butter the rolls. No fork for the salad. Not the end of the world. The soup came with a spoon but the smell was rancid. It didnt take long to determine that it must have been simmering too long and had charred at the bottom of the pot ruining the lot. I don’t know how the waitress didn’t smell it because it was apparent moments after delivery and one small taste confirmed it for me.

Again that’s not the end of the world. I’d have ordered a different soup or a salad. What got me a little frustrated was sitting there for almost 20 minutes while I watch the waitress across the room running around doing other tasks. Two buckets of ice from the kitchen to the front. Over to the computer terminal doing something. Still in eyesight but too far to politely motion for her or speak to her. At this point I’m expecting the entrees any moment. Finally she came to the table and saw the soup and asked if I wanted something else. I told her no and that if it was all the same to here we would just like to leave. She said fine and walked away. We hadn’t ordered drinks or appetizers so the only items that had been delivered to us were ice water, the soup, the salad and a bread basket. None of which we touched. However I kinda expected to have a managers show up at the table once the server realized that we were upset. Not just have her walk away from us. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad day. She was definitely working the whole time and not somewhere screwing around which is admirable. Regardless it was frustrating to me. Maybe we will try again next week and I’ll update...

Very disappointed. First time customer,as I am new to the area. Wanted to take a friend from out of town for a nice meal without having to go to Ann Arbor or Detroit. Being an Italian chop house,I had high expectations for steaks and pasta. The meals were as follows: Apps-Creamy artichoke dip with house made tortilla chips- good, nothing spectacular. Escargot in burgundy wine sauce- excellent Mains- Linguini Pescatora- arrived cold, mussles had grit in them,my guest actually spit them back into the shell. Shrimp was very tough and fishy. Did not eat. It was a complete turnoff, did not want to get sick. 8oz filet with side of spaghetti. Steak was ordered med well. Arrived burnt like a hockey puck.Took one bite and it was like chewing rawhide.(if the cooks cannot do a finger test,at least get them a meat thermometer!) Spaghetti was cold, and served with boxed noodles, sauce not flavorful. ( I’m Italian. I know good pasta and sauce.)No parm brought to table. Took an additional 8 minutes to have parm brought to table.By then the meal was a complete disaster. We were given a choice of salad or soup with our meals. We opted for the French onion. I have never had French onion like that. Large chunks of onion,no carmelization at all. 2 croutons in each cup,and about a tbsp of cheese ( that’s being generous) and broth was bland. Did not finish. We were offered a remake, but by that point,we had lost our appetites. We were done. We asked for removal of the main courses, and I would pay for the drinks, apps, and soups. They removed the mains, didn’t charge for the soups, but incredibly, charged me a dollar for each unfinished bowl of soup, due to the cheese on top. Are you kidding me? That was one of the most petty things I have ever seen! I wouldn’t have been offended paying for the cups of soup, but to charge for the cheese was utterly ridiculous. It wasn’t the money,it was the pettiness. It looks like it’s going to be either Detroit or Ann Arbor for decent steaks/pastas. So utterly disappointing being I really had high hopes and was looking...

Not one to write reviews but felt like I had to let the public know about this restaurant. I took my grandmother for her birthday. We were sat next to a speaker that was so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak and when we asked to move we were told that was the table we reserved. The waitress did not know the menu and when I asked about sides she told me I would be charged and or couldn’t choose those sides. I had to explain the menu to her. The “house salad” which was $4 was a painfully obvious bag of lettuce from the store, containing one cherry tomato and one slice of cucumber and lettuce. The dressing was store bought put in a tiny plastic cup. When I asked for more dressing they said I would be charged. I ordered a $30 8 ounce filet. Rubbery mushrooms and no sauce. The waitress did not come back until she gave me the check. Still sitting under the loud speaker I approached the bartender and asked, “could the speaker please be turned down? We can’t hear ourselves talk?” And she responded “I don’t know, find a manager.” I spent $135 on a family dinner that was a terrible dining experience. They made me feel bad for asking to turn the speaker down. This is not a fine dining restaurant nor a steak house. It is painfully obvious that they are in business for the profit. There are many ways to make a dining experience better when I’m spending short of $150 on dinner. DO NOT DINE HERE. Make the drive to a lone star or steakhouse if you want steak. If you want fine dining head towards Detroit there are many actual fine dining restaurants. Rude/expensive/bad...
