This is a fancy diet diner. Meaning, if you’re in a diet, this is the place for you. Food flavor is average, portions are way below average, service was not ok. Our poor server was way too overwhelmed for a packed dinner so her service was below average, I didn’t even got her name(also no name tags). The only reason for this place to be packed is because the next closest diner is far. I make it a point to visit a new diner every week, this one is on my do not return list. But it’s not their fault, they have no close competition. Now to the food. 1. I had the ”supreme omelette”, it was average. About the size of my closed hand. Walmart bought “English muffins” (which I like), and the worst “City grits” I’ve ever had, they’re more like mash potatoes. 2. Now, they have some amazing “Carrot pancake”! They are worth the trip. They are amazing! 3. The “traditional breakfast” sausage has a ridiculous amount of seasoning(maybe it’s supposed to be like that, but my wife didn’t like it), the eggs where sunny side up instead of over medium, and if you order extra pancakes you will get one single buttermilk pancake for $3, and I get that this is not Dallas, but because it’s Southlake I expect way more than Dallas. $3 for a single pancake its insane. They did replace my horrible grits and deducted the price from the bill. Overall I give it a 4/10. My review it’s only based on food and service from the server. Everything else is not in the review. Even though I said that the carrot pancake is amazing, I’m not a huge fan of carrot things, so I won’t come back for it. But if you are a fan of anything carrot related, go for it. They do have a small bar, which in my opinion is a huge help.

Amazing drinks by Sara. The cinnamon roll French Toast was amazing. Of course, the city grits were on point. The pumpkin spiced waffle was decent. The shrimp and grits were awesome. The banana bread French Toast was bland and left something to be desired. Overall, though, it was an amazing meal. 2.13.22 update Another visit and another great experience. Amazing customer service and the quality of the food is always fresh and delicious. I will say though that the strawberry shortcake French toast is not among the best tasting dishes. The cinnamon roll is still undefeated! Keep up the great work. 9.3.22 update Bourbon Street Pancakes are absolutely delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and tasty. The butter pecan sauce with rum is incredible. Definitely see why you need to be 21 to eat them, nice rum flavor topped with bananas and pecans! Perfection on a plate! The short ribs were very good along with the gouda grits. Never had pickled watermelon rinds before but certain paired well with the entire dish. The supreme omelette was fantastic. It was large and delightful to the last bite. And to top it off our waiter Adam was top-notch in his customer service. This was another awesome experience at ABE but it's exactly what I've grown accustomed to. Keep up the amazing work!

My favorite here is the shrimp and grits with the strawberry St Germaine Mimosa. And the biscuit beignets are so good!! Yes the food is good here, but its the service that makes a place returnable for me. The first time we went our servers name was John. He was AMAZING! He made my 9yr old son feel so special. He was just on top of everything. Before we left my son asked him if they have fidget spinners. Of course they don't but John went to the back and came back with a handmade something and my son thought that was just everything. Even though he has 2 fidget spinners at home, the one John made some how surpassed both of those. The second time we went we had a different server...my son couldn't leave without saying hi to John. I thought that was great. No one has ever made a mark on him at a restaurant before. It was mother's day so it was super busy, but John made to time to step to the side and have a quick conversation with him. He was smiling ear to ear. The third time I went alone...on a weekday. I got John again!!! 😍 He remembered my son!!! And his name! I thought that was just amazing! I would and have recommended this place!!! Planning a girls brunch as we speak (type😏)!!

My family and I arrived at 12:15pm and were seated just after 12:30pm. At 1:40pm we asked our server if our food would be out soon. We were told that our food was being made as fast as it can. We brought up the fact that tables that were sat well after us were getting their food before us, we were told that they were not sat after us. I asked the hostess if we could speak to a manager. When the manager finally arrived, he was not professional and did not introduce himself by name, all he said was I heard y'all wanted to talk to me. We explain to him the situation, and his response to us was that the food was cooking and that he can't control how long that it takes. He said he would see what he could do, then told us that he had to go back to the kitchen because he himself was cooking and then just walked away from the table. Our food arrived at 1:50pm. My food never showed up and neither did my husbands cinnamon roll. Our server never did a 2 minute checked back. Eventually another server came up to the table to see if we were doing all right and I let her know that I did not receive my food and that my husband was missing some of his food. She immediately apologized and walked into the kitchen. About 10 seconds later our server comes out with what is supposed to be my food and puts it down in front of me, it was old and I can tell that I had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while and that it just had never come out. I handed it back to the server and let her know that I didn't want it. She asked me why I didn't want it and I told her because its been sitting under the heat lamp. She then told me that it's fresh and had just came out. I understand that there's problems and issues and sometimes kitchens get behind but what I don't appreciate is being lied to and treated like I'm being crazy when I'm trying to explain to them that our food is taking forever or that we're...

I want to Thank Ms Tina for her Exception Service , she is a Server at Another. Broken Egg in Pearland TX as a 20 Year Army Veteran, who lives here in Houston Tx I stand on as a retired US Army Veteran, three words: Loyalty, Duty and Dependable! The mission of the military is supported by several core values. The individual branches of the military state these values differently. For example, the Army has a Soldier's Creed. It includes statements such as, "I will always place the mission first," "I will never accept defeat," "I will never quit," and "I am an expert, and I am a professional." The Marine Corps uses the mottoSemper Fidelis, which is Latin for "always faithful." This motto reminds Marines to remain faithful to the mission, Ms Tina showed that She cared I needed a meal replacement without Meat she was able to assist me with heart and Soul! Ms Tina made our customer experience, one that we will always remember, Ms Tina , is a Great Example of “I CARE,” Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence, One of the saying from US Army Four Star General Colin Powell” "If You are going to Achieve Excellence in Big things, You Develop the Habit in Little matters! Excellence is not an Exception; it is a Prevailing Attitude"!

Ms Tina, the Server at Another Broken Egg in Pearland Tx , made excellence in customer services, a Prevailing Attitude! Respectfully,

Greg Fulton, US Army Retired
