Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Fresno

On December 14th at 8:39 pm me and my boyfriend went thru the drive thru. We ordered a onion ring box and spicy chicken box.And we expected our food to be super hot because we waited at least 7 to 8 min. When we got home and opened our 5 dollar boxes the fries were so cold and onion rings looked burnt. My boyfriends spicy chicken box had two burgers instead of one burger and one spicy chicken. His fries and onion rings were also burnt and cold. And my son's chicken stars were also cold. This was one of the worst experience I had ever had at any fast food place. When I called in to let them know our order got messed up I got hung up on 3 times. Then finally got thru on the 4th time I called. The girl that answered the phone sounded very rude and unprofessional. I explained to her what happened two times and kept asking me over and over again. She asked me if I had my receipt and to bring it in and she would just replace the spicy chicken. This was the worst Carl's Jr ever. Crew members need to be a little more professional. The employees were fantastic. We could not have asked for better. We ordered the Black Angus hamburger, which was advertised in the flyer sent in the mail. The cook was great, but the way they had to prepare it with the ingredients, wasn't good, at least to our tastes. It looked good, and the cook did a great job assembling it. However, all in all, the hamburger had a lot to be desired, even with his expertise. We don't like mustard on our burgers, so that was one of the things we told them about. The meat had a funny taste to it, so that was not good to us. We also got onion rings and chose a sauce. We tried the honey mustard first, and it was horrible. We replaced it with the Ranch sauce, and it was even worse. The onion rings were okay but nothing to write home about. I had the lemonade, and it was good. The restaurant was clean, and so was the bathroom. What made our trip was the great attitude of all who work there.

Normally, we love Carl's Jr., but this visit proved to be far from what we were expecting simply because of the ingredients used. We will go...

I really don't know why more people don't go for Carl's Jr. but I'm not complaining. Carl's has better burgers and shorter lines then In and Out down the street and this store is always fast and friendly. Don't forget that Carl's is one of the few hamburger restaurants where you can get a burger in the morning! #1 for me all the way!

Update (2022-10-26): Changing my 5-start to a 1-star. These guys have shorted my order way too many times. If you do choose to go here through the drive thru, don't go leave the drive thru without checking your order in front of the server. For now, I think I'll give the particular store a break for a year.
