This is the first time I'm leaving a bad review and I feel deeply disappointed in our experienceat at this restaurant, if I could give it 0 stars I would because the meat was amazing but the experience and main treatment was not favorable. I'd expect a more decent experience from any restaurant, but seeing as this is a high end restaurant I was proven that even high end restaurants can be disappointing. Yesterday was the first time we ate here and I was so excited since It was like a late birthday dinner . I went yesterday with my family and we had reservations for 5:45 pm. From the beginning the host in the front weren't very attentive. There wasn't many people when we went and we were the only people at the entrance. I walked up and even though I was standing there I had to kinda wait and try to get her attention since they ( her and another male host) were standing infront of me but didn't say anything just ignored. It felt weird since it almost made me think we were at the wrong place. I brushed it off since maybe the conversation they were having was important. when I said excuse me it felt like they gave me the side eye (they were slightly turned).I wasn't rude about it, I really didn't want to interrupt their conversation. Luckily we didn't wait long for our table which was good. The place is sooo beautiful and would give a unique dinning experience, unfortunately we didn't get to eat in their main room. We were seated in a closed off corner where we were basically hidden. A wall infront of us and on the side of us. We were the only ones there for a while. The room was very bland compared to main room.It was a simple red room with two light fixtures . I was deeply disappointed when I realized that we were in the back corner with a wall infront of us. I didn't understand why were put there when the place wasn't even a full house.I try and be understanding but after a while of watching the meats go by and pretty much be ignored due to the hidden corner we were in it started to really upset us. We were starting to just get ready to leave and pay for the salad since they charge about 60-70 per person and I get the economy is expensive but a salad bar is nor worth that price. At that point we were just getting full on what we had from the salad bar. The salad bar was great by the way, very presentable and fresh. After a while we finally got offered sausage (which was delicious) except for the fact that we had been ignored for so long . I started to question why were we being ignored and hidden. It really did feel that way and it seemed that way too. Again I tried to be understanding but after 15 minutes of just staring at a red wall and hardly any meats being offered it was starting to ruin the mood and the excitement I had for the restaurant. We didn't start to get offered good meat cuts until later on when more people were added to the room . Now that makes sense right, more people more attention, but I don't think it's fair to ignore us because the room was empty( aside from the couple at the entrance) . When we didn't get to choose our table. We had a reservation made and yet we got a bad spot and ignored when it wasn't even a full house. Writing this makes me realize how upset it makes me feel. I have never felt soo disappointed in a food place over their treatment. I'll be honest ,we were starting to feel discriminated. I get that we weren't supper dressed up but we were dressed presentable. Anyways aside from that, the server was great she did a good job at making us feel seen . The only reason I'm even putting 2 stars is for their cut of meats because when we did finally get to try it . It was amazing, such soft, savory, buttery cuts that just melt on your tongue. I honestly wouldn't come back here due to the treatment and the experience. I really wanted to get to enjoy the beauty of the restaurant and enjoy it's delicious food. I only got to eat the delicious food considering everything else got ruined. It was 3 of us and the bill was $244 . That was not at $244...
Read moreSo I went her to celebrate my fiances birthday and we like to do something try new things so this year she picked this place. we went in just after it had opened and there was only a few families there 3 at the most so nice and quiet, the hosts sat us down and went over everything with us since it was our first time she even left us a wine menu to look at which after trying samples of a few found out we aren't into wine that much maybe later. Anyway when our server came to us and explained how it worked we were on our way and grabbed a plate each for salad and got a lot, it was good and with a nice selection even having sushi granted just one type of it but a huge wheel of Parmesan cheese and cuts of salami was good the breaded they had above it was a bit hard it even cracked when i bit into it but it was great as a small sandwich. After we sat down and had our fill of the salad we wanted the meat they were serving and so we got another plate and turned the cards to green to get meat and man did we try almost all of it. Unfortunately here comes the hard part about the food, for the price we paid it wasn't that great. The bread was the best part for us, i couldn't get enough of that bread. The meat that stole the spot for us was the chicken wrapped in bacon that was the best. The flank steak was okay so long as you got the part that was red if you ate the gray outside expect to be chewing for a good while before you get that down. The fillet was okay with it being tender but again expect to chew and since it was fillet one of the most expensive meats around known for being tender I was still chewing on it and needed to wash it down with water which is sad to have to do for that kind of meat. The sausage they had is okay it had a nice snap but again there's a chew to it, I'm sensing a theme here. It was good but not wowing me to wanting more then just one bite. The lamb tasted like fish and wasn't that great and I recommend not eating the spicy portion they serve of a cut of meat because that thing is hard to chew and you get no flavor from it, the only thing you taste is the spice which dose not go away easily. They gave us so complimentary mashed potatoes and a banana that was golden brown with a caramel sauce under it and tasted like it was covered in cinnamon sugar, unnecessary and both were underwhelming. Then there was the drink, we didn't want any soda or wine after the taste cause I wasn't going to drink cause I'm the driver so we went with water and at the beginning the server asked us what kind spring or sparkling and when we got the bill we were charged for the 3 bottles we drank. the first one was only half full and the third we barley got to have before we left, not once did he mentioned we charge for these is that okay? My advice ask first otherwise better stop at the target next to it and grab some bottles before you go in. $18 for 3 bottles of water, I would have taken water from the hose instead of paying that much for a few bottles again not finishing one and not having the first one even full. They didn't even offer to give it to us since we drank it. The last thing we had there was a cake and we knew which one we were going to get, they had a plastic version of it next to the salad bar, clever marketing right there. We told him that we were going to get the cake at the end, even told him which one we wanted but after we were down he insisted on grabbing the serving tray they had and explain each cake to us when we only wanted one and had said we just wanted this one. I let him explain it because I'm polite and I understand he is just doing his job but as a server myself I list first and give a suggestion if they ask if not I don't, that easy. We got the cake and it was great even had them write happy birthday around the rim of the plate which was sweet and he even gave a candle and lit it for us though if you're going to do that sing happy birthday unless requested not too, go all the way or don't, doing half way is not...
