I stayed 47 days at this facility recently checking out last week.||Context: I have stayed at a wide range of hotels from Motel 6 to the Ritz Carlton for business and vacation. This hotel is as the name states. It is for extended stays. Most of the clients I saw were contstruction contractors, truckers, and other types of businesses on the road. There are also long term tenants who seem to be using this as an apartment stay.||||Pros: ||-Value: For the price, the value was unbeatable. Hot shower with good pressure. The bed was nice. I got clean sheets once a week. I had a full sized refrigerator, stove, and microwave. There was no garbage disposal and no dishwasher, but for the price I can understand.||||Service: The front desk was professional and friendly. Keep in mind the pricing. One doesn't expect the Ritz concierge service. Instead it was more like a friendly neighbor helping you out. I met a variety of different front desk staff at different times of the day on weekdays and weekends, and all were professional and courteous with me. The front desk does close at 10pm, but there is an outside phone that you can use. I had to use it at 1:00 AM because when I came back from work my hotel key no longer worked. It changes once a week, and that was the day I had to work late. However, I went to outside phone by the front office and called. The overnight attendant answered the phone and swiped me a couple of keys and was very friendly about it.||||Security: It was very well lit throughout the parking lot and the hallways. I felt safe overall. I do not think they have any security patrol, but it is so well lit as well as being in part of the town with low crime.||||-Physical plant: The rooms have linoleum floors. There is no carpet. The rooms are mildly dated, but again, I felt it was fine for the value. I was very comfortable with the furnishings of the room. The TV is a flat screen TV with the usual cable TV assortment and showmax and showmax 2.||||-Laundry: There are washers and dryers on site. The front desk provides change and detergent for a fee.||||-Convenience: It is nearby Costco by car. A Shop 'n Go convenience store is down at the corner. It is right next to the highway.||||-Amenities: Wifi is free and strong. I also contacted the tech support, and the call center person was able to hook up my laptop, iPhones, and iPad to the free wifi for 3 weeks until the end of the month rather than having me renew the wifi connection every 24 hours. That was convenient. Good air conditioning was available, and I used it. They provided me plenty of soap, shampoo, towels, and toilet paper.||||The kitchenette does not come supplied with pots, pans, etc. You order the setup that you need from the front desk and then pick up your package. This was fine for the value.||||I had two desks where I could do my work, and that was really nice for catching up on laptop work on my days away from work.||||They also gave me a third floor in the back because I wanted to be isolated and quiet. This helped because I often worked nights and slept in the days. ||||I saw some complaint about smoking, but of the 47 days, only once did I see a person not respect the signs of no smoking wishing 100 feet of the hotel door. They have smoking stations outside appropriately distant from the hotel doors.||||There is no pool or weight room, but again for the value this was fine. I actually found a running route for myself from the hotel and down the street to get in a 5k run a couple of times a week, and I used a nearby law firm's parking lot to do some HIIT exercises in as well, so no weight room did not pose a problem. I also brought some resistance bands, so this made up for this. ||||Cons:||The microwave turntable didn't turn, but it was not enough of a nuisance for me to complaint about.||||-Physical plant is mildly dated, but I was on business not vacation.||-If you want breakfast, my understanding is it is a grab and go type of food, but I never tried it. I have a specific breakfast regimen I like, and so I just got this from the grocery store and stocked the fridge. I preferred this anyway. ||||There is not perfect hotel. For the value and the above pros and cons I...
Read moreI really dont like writing reviews on hotels because everyones experience is different, but for this particular hotel I can make an exception. I arrived at the hotel during a shift change (so I waited nearly 15 minutes just to get checked in) I guess its understandable due to the fact they need to have pass downs and write down the hours they worked that day. I let it slide. I finally got my room key (RM #343). I got into my vehicle drove around back and began to grab my belongings. Not even 10 seconds go by and I have someone trying to panhandle me ( keep in mind my hands were full ) I told the younger male "sorry but no" and walked up to the stairs untill I reached the 3rd floor. I arrive at my room to find a smell that I can only describe as kitty litter. I thought to myself that tonights going to be a comfortable night ( sarcastically) and laughed about it . I out down my belonging and throw my pizza in the microwave, as I sat on the bed to take my shoes off I noticed a strange smell coming from the kitchen.... It waa a burnt popcorn smell.. Turbs out it was the microwave. I took my pizza out and the pizza itself had the smell..( I ate it anyways ) As I turn on the TV and start scrolling the the 22 channels they have......its literally nothing but news channels, I found tbs, discovery, and Nickelodeon. Nothing really special about the.... I began to fill irrated being that the hotel looked so much better online.... I felt bamboozled. The kitty litter smell began to ware on me to I decided to turn on the AC.....(this is where I about lost it) I bent over my bed to find a filthy dusty broken inside and outside AC! I called the front desk and asked if they can help me turn it on...about 20 minutes later the gentlemen came up to my room and attempted to turn it on... He left me with "Im sorry, if it doesn't turn on just give me a calll in about 30 minutes". The 30 minutes go by and still nothing... Im very irritated at this point, I called and requested for another room. He said there were none available... He was being very rude and said i will have to deal with it for the night and he would leave a note... I hung up the phone which I might include felt crusty to the touch and laid on one of the most stiffest beds you can lay on. The floow probably would have been better because at least theres a little cushion. Dont get me started on the floors either....there were stains everywhere... I felt really uncomfortable taking my socks of due to that I didn't know what made the stains. I sucked it up and went to bed. I woke up with a sore back and a headache due to the awefull smell. I made my way down stairs and put my belongings in the car.. I was hopefull for breakfast but as you can see it was nothing special.. I then checked out and had an encounter with a very rude woman. She might not sound rude but her face expressions made the whole conversation that much worse. You can see in the video I asked about the AC and to my suprise the gentleman from last night did not leave a note. Well thats pretty much my experience..... I left and now im...
Read moreI am writing a review because my mother and my brother went to this hotel today on August 26, 2022 and my mother rented the hotel through Priceline so the room was paid for my mother had her identification and her credit card. My brother was there the room was for him and he had his ID from prison California state prison and he has a valid California drivers license that no he did not have with him. The girl at the front desk who my mom said was OK she said that she couldn’t check them in but she would ask her manager. The managers name is Abel and he was so rude to my mother and my brother asking him questions on how long he had been out of prison and that he had plenty of time to get him drivers license which he does not know his circumstances. He would not check them in the room he said that my brother was looking at him some type of way and that he could not stay on his property . My mother even said that she would pay a deposit if she had to but he refused them both. I live in a whole Different state and my mother called me very upset and distraught and she called me because I’ve worked for hotels for 25+ years . I have never heard in my life anyone badgering a guest and he even counted on his fingers you had June July August to get your ID or drivers license ….who does that? This a corporate hotel and he treated my mother horribly. My mother said she felt like she was in a court room again because she worked there at Fresno Superior Court 25+ years. This man should not be working at anyone’s front desk he treated them poorly he pointed his fingers he was rude and I feel like he was disrespectful because my mother is an elderly woman. My mother has an aneurysm on her aorta on her heart and she is very distraught and upset because of how she was treated . Something needs to happen somebody needs to know that this man treated my brother this way and my brother stayed silent. For one he works for a corporation and it is not his hotel it is the corporations hotel or whomever owns the hotel it is his responsibility to be kind and give customer service and customer service is not what he gave today. I will be making some phone calls because he doesn’t know who I am. Just know that I know the people who bring business to all hotels in Fresno I ran a hotel a couple of them. I will be letting them know that they do not need to send any business to that hotel as long as Mr. Abel is working as a manager there because he should not deal with any...
