The staff at this location - Fresno River Pkwy HWY 41- was superb. My visit was stressful and they were so very helpful with questions and especially directions as I was not at all familiar with this location - never been to Fresno. They were very attentive and with an attitude that didn't seem like I was upsetting their day - I've been to hotels with that experience - feeling like I was a daily inconvenience. But not here, both the day and night desk staff were exceptionally helpful and it was greatly appreciated.
The room was clean, which is one of my pet peeves. I really appreciated the amenities of small kitchen area (sink, beverage maker - coffee/or tea, and the small refrigerator in the room as many hotels/motels seem to be doing away with these amenities). It was especially nice to have a room with proportional furniture; another one of my pet peeves. Finally a hotel that has workable furniture in the room that doesn't take up all of the walking space.
Two cons: 1) I would like to see them shampoo the carpets more or invest in better vacuum cleaners. 2) Many hotels, as in THE Santa Barbara area, communicate how linens are dealt with via a room card. That would be very helpful. I wasn't staying long; so I had to communicate with the front desk in regard to the linen changes (i.e. bed sheets, which I didn't feel was necessary to change each day as my stay was not long. Towels were naturally changed each day). This could have been more easily communicated with a room card as to the hotels policy regarding bed linens.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area. There are two very nice eateries (Soup Plantation & I-Hop) within walking distance and the major strip malls are within reasonable driving from the hotel; however, because I was unfamiliar with the area, be aware that there are a lot of angle streets so it's easy to get turned around. This is where staff really shine; they are more than willing to give you a Google map if you request it or relatively easy verbal directions if you ask.
Enjoy your stay if you should stay at this hotel and in this area. It is a nice place to visit for leisure if you love to shop. If on business, the hotel makes your stay very pleasant with a good staff with a...
Read moreSubject: Urgent Concern from a Dissatisfied Diamond Elite Member – Unsanitary Conditions||I am writing as a Diamond Elite member to formally express my deep dissatisfaction following a recent stay at your property. I booked our room with the understanding that it would meet the standards and expectations aligned with my loyalty status and the hotel’s advertised quality. Unfortunately, this experience was far below acceptable.||The condition of the flooring throughout the property, and especially in our room, was truly unacceptable. My infant, who naturally spends a great deal of time crawling, was exposed to carpets that were visibly dirty and unhygienic. Within just 10 minutes, my baby’s clothes were noticeably soiled from the dirt and grime embedded in the carpet — a concerning and unacceptable reality for any guest, let alone one with a small child.||My husband mentioned our concerns to the front desk at the time, but unfortunately, no meaningful resolution was offered.||The general cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel suggest it primarily serves ground workers, which I fully respect — however, it does not excuse the lack of proper sanitation and hygiene for all guests. As a family traveling with an infant, we expected clean and safe accommodations, and this situation has left us feeling both disappointed and misled.||I also inquired about washers and dryers to clean our baby’s soiled clothes but was met with limited support. For a hotel of this caliber, especially with Diamond Elite members among its guests, such basic amenities and standards of cleanliness should not be lacking.||This experience has caused me to seriously reconsider future bookings at your property and potentially with your brand if such issues are not addressed.||I trust you will take this feedback seriously and respond with appropriate action or compensation for this unfortunate...
Read moreSeveral hotels in the area of this hotel. Check in was a fairly long wait as the girl at the front desk seemed to be typing an essay on the computer. Then went back to a file and pulled a piece of pre printed paper with all my info and room number etc. so what the heck were you typing. I had not handed you my if yet. I had just given you my name. Maybe it’s the mask but the front desk person was not friendly at all. Maybe I just didn’t else your smile behind the mask. Our room was good. We were on the side away from the highway. So fairly quiet. Beds comfortable and adequate for our stay. Ac worked well. Could not find the sleep timer on the tv so that was annoying. Fridge worked well. And didn’t use the microwave but it was there. Breakfast was typical of this type of hotel. Nothing fancy. The pancake machine was neat. Plenty of coffee. But when my son poured milk on his cereal it came out of the carton in clumps! Pretty gross. The dining area/hangout area/lobby of this hotel had no AC in this room so in the morning it was around 81-82 degrees. At night after being in 105 plus degree temps. The room was 85 degrees. Very unbearable and prevented us from hanging out and haveing a few drinks. Staff was alerted and the brought us an oscillating fan. Probably one of the hottest weekends this summer and a sold out hotel and there’s an AC issue! Not good. Pool closed early. Homeless guys in the bushes behind the pool and Pot Smokers walking around adjacent to the pool. Very close to the highway. Probably the closest of all the hotels there to the highway hence the homeless and the pit smokers hanging out there. Car was safe I believe No body touched it as far as I know it was a rental. Now that I am familiar with the area I will probably stay at one of the other places away...
