I always order a fish taco wherever I go as I am on the search for 'Thee BEST Fish Taco' and so far, this place has the best fish tacos and shrimp tacos anywhere I've ever been yet! Lucky find!!! I got the Spicy version of each... Fantastic and sooo delicious! Got a Chile Verde burrito to go and they made it fresh before we left! It was so nice they care about letting you eat 'all made fresh to order' food while dining in, and then makiing the to go order - when youre ready to go! :-) Others got the huge shrimp cocktails!! Very Delicious! Will come here as often as possible! Best customer service in a long time! I'm bummed to write this but I am just not sure what is going on at this location (Blackstone and Gettysburg). I've visited multiple Don Pepes in Fresno but this one is struggling. I go there once every week or once every two weeks and it's a hit or miss. It's either perfect or a disaster, no in between. Once I ordered nachos and half the toppings were missing. My most recent nachos were made from stale chips and had chicken cartilage. I understand sometimes restaurants have a bad day (which is why I kept going back), but this is about the fifth bad day I've caught them on within the past 2-3 months. I love Don Pepes but I hate paying for bad food. I couldn't go back to have it remade because I live a little far and that would be even more annoying for me.
