Recently my husband purchased a new car that did not come wired for Sirius XM. He was able to access XM through Apple Car Play but it was sketchy at best, coming in and out and unlike most of us, he doesn't always have his phone with him. I did some research and found online the best approach would be to have something installed that would not void the factory warranty. I found the VAIS Adapter and it sounded perfect for his needs. It did say easy install but unless you know what you are doing (which we do not), it's best to get it installed professionally. I searched for an authorized installer and found 559 Car Stereo & Alarm. There are many stereo installers much closer to my home but I didn't want to take any chances. I'm glad I went with 559. From my first communication with the owner, Sako, I knew I was in good hands. There was no pressure and he answered all of my questions quickly. I'm one of those clients who overthinks everything and I have to say, Sako was so patient and kind with me. We decided to go in and order the adapter in person and the first thing that struck me was how clean and professional the shop is. Sako helped us with our order and kept in clear communication with me as we waited. He even gave me the tracking information which helped with my OCD lol! Once it arrived I had additional anxiety worrying about damage to a brand new car. Henry, the installer, treated the car with incredible care. There were no crazy wires hanging out everywhere and the car was pristine. The adapter does use the USB port but that didn't bother us. Unfortunately, after a few days the adapter stopped working and XM would not load. I was so sad. I contacted tech support at VAIS and he suggested I take it back to 559. Here's what sets 559 apart. Once I contacted Sako he told me to bring the car in. They spent some time with the VAIS tech on the phone and worked out the issue and did a factory reset. I disabled Apple Car Play and since that time, it has worked fine (knock on wood). But my point is Sako stood behind his work and said if there were any more problems they would take care of it. This is a place of integrity and you can tell they take pride in their work. My understanding VAIS is trying to address this conflict with Apple Car Play so what happened was no fault of 559. I personally do not like Apple Car Play as well so this is a non issue for us. Now my husband is happy listening to his Mad Dog sports and I'm happy to know Sako has our back. Read moreWalked in randomly on a weekday and was greeted by Sako. Told him what I wanted to accomplish with my 2021 Tacoma. I only had done a little research of what I wanted. Sako was able to suggest me a better route for roughly about the same price of what I was planning to get. Sako gave me options and suggestions. Answered all of my questions and curiosities. We were able to build a whole system and priced within about 15mins.
I purchased 2 tweeters, 2 front speakers, 2 back speakers, a subwoofer, 2 amps with a bass knob controller and tuner. All JL Audio brand. Also I wanted fast rings around my speakers and sound deadening for 4 of my doors.
Every single component I got was the exact same as internet price. I was not charged for shipping fees at all!
Everything was ordered and set ready for a phone call to set the actual date when all of the components came in. It was only a week later that I got a phone call from Sako that all my parts were in and asked what day I was able to bring my Tacoma in and it was going to be a 2 day turn around. I was able to set the appointment 2 days out.
I brought my 2021 Tacoma first thing that morning at 9am of my appointment date. Left my car there that day and was able to get my truck completed by 3pm the next day!
