As a local guide I feel it important to give honest reviews....... Having been a patron of the brig for a few years I finally decided to go through all the reviews that have been posted on Google...... I find it interesting that every review that was a negative review showed up at exactly the same time my many people who have never been to this bar....... Two and a half years of going to this bar I have never seen the bartenders exhibit any type of racist Behavior I have taken black friends in there Latino friends and never ever have they ever had any type of racial incidents... If you want to go to a good bar with a friendly people.. pool,. Darts. And affordable well-made drinks this is the place.... As a local guide I would suggest ignore the negative reviews by people who have never stepped foot in this bar and come in and see for...

I noticed that the owners are responding to the 'racist' comments with, 'this person has never been here', but I can assure you, I've been several times for karaoke, and the one time I brought my black brother in law, the bartender literally came over to us and asked us to leave because he could tell we 'didn't have money'. When I went to the bar to complain, I basically got told to shut up and go somewhere else, that our business wasn't wanted, and that I should excuse the bartender for his blatant racist behavior because he was 'retiring'. I don't remember his name but he has a mullet haircut, hard to miss. Sad to see an ugly, ignorant tradition ruin what could be a truly great karaoke dive bar. To the owners, get with the times. This is my neighborhood bar. It’s one of the oldest bars in fresno. I love this place because you never know what you’re going to walk into. Karaoke on Wednesday and Sunday is usually entertaining and you can count on a performance by the bartender. I’m not one for just sitting and drinking so I like that there are two pool tables, dice and hotspot. The place can close as early as 1 am if the bartender feels it’s not worth staying open. I get it as I’ve made the same call as a bartender. If you’re working alone you’re not inclined to sit around with the doors unlocked waiting for people who might straggle in at 1am. it means it’s not a dependable “last stop” for the night though.
