I am not happy with tonight's (6/9/19) services at Lin's fusion, especially with Joe. I did not receive the full service of being help. We came in as a family of 6: 2 adults 3kids & a baby. Apparently first come first serve does not apply here, 8+ groups were seated before us with one family of 8 & a few families of 4-6. I went to speak with him and instead of him talking to me normally he had his glasses pull down a bit and glared at me. Instead of explaining to me that I was being taken care of, he went off on about how he's been here long enough and knows how the system works and it's not whatever I'm saying before telling me it will be 10mins or less for our table because it was being clean. I assume he was right and that all bigger tables must be full and that they did just not forgot about us. However when the host took us to our table there was at least 1 or 2 table that was open. Then when we were shown to our table and it had only 4 chairs, when there was a total of 6 of us. I asked for a high chair and the waitress said they don't have any high chair then quickly change her mind and said there's none available. So I had to ask for 2 extra chairs so everyone can have a seat (ps- waitress was just too lazy to look for high chair, she didn't bother to look at other station, I found some stash by the bar) I had order water for myself, when I receive my water I took a sip and it tasted like rusty lime(active bleach pack for cleaning) So i inspect the water which had white parts on the ice. I brought up my concern to the person in charge of course Joe. I asked him to take a sip of the water if it tasted fishy. He reply, no it taste normal then goes off about how they eat here 24/7 and he know how to operate his job, that the food and drinks are fine with health regulations. Then he told me to change my water. Not once did he sincerely took my concern and took action, instead told me about how he knows everything and he is right. I do not understand why he could not simply assure me that someone can take a look at the ice. My husband also had his drink refill with white ice and his raspberry ice tea tasted differently after so he did not drink it, instead he order water without ice. My brother and his family whom was seated close by the bar had the same issue and did not drink his water because it tasted nasty too. I hope overall with this review that Joe will improve on his customer services and be more sincere about customers concern. My husband have casual company lunchen with this restaurant year round so i hope to see improvement on Joe's manners and the way he solves situation. Waitress always look like they hate their job, never smile hardly communicates...
Read moreThis is my first review and I felt I had to write because the 4.2 rating at the time I went was not an accurate representation at all. I see why some would like this place, as you can't beat the price for this type of buffet selection, but I can relate to those who have rated low based on the food quality.
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it did not turn out as I hoped. Like the owner is quite shocked and surprised at low reviews, after my experience here, I was quite shocked and suprised at the high reviews which convinced me to try this place. My man had the crab legs and said they were ok.
The Good - The service was actually great. The waitresses cleared plates quickly, we were seated promptly and the areas where food required service, like the habachi grill, was prompt. The price, for these types of buffets was very low. ($16.95/adult on the weekend). There is a very large selection. The pho and cream cheese wontons were decent.
The Bad - I ordered hot tea and the cup provided had lipstick on it (I was brought another cup once I noticed it). In terms of the food, nothing was great or memorable. Most was unappealing. I tried multiple things hoping I would enjoy something but couldn't find anything to like. I think I tried at least a little something from almost every area except dim sum. The clams were prepared poorly. Strawberries in the dessert station were old. We were seated next to the sushi area, and the person preparing the sushi was wearing gloves and appeared to be touching multiple areas in the behind the counter and other cabinets and then continued to prepare sushi without changing gloves. Food serving utensils were missing from multiple stations or submerged in the food. Based on pricing seems like a good place to bring your kids, but bad for my experience as it got quite loud and watching unattended children attempt to get food while sneezing/coughing made the experience that much less appetizing.
Overall I would not return, this is not even a good value for the price. I had hoped this was going to be a place I liked. Even my man, who has much less discerning taste then I do, said he wouldn't...
Read moreUpdate. I'm very upset I went for fathers day to eat w my dad he had arrived before me and sat down in table ,, when I got there I went to look for them realized they did not ask for extra seating b4 this I had told the front seaters why I was there and they said I can look for them to see if they ask for extra seats they didn't so I said ok I'm willing to wait but I want to be seated w them they said ok their was a family eating next to them ,,, left came back time to seat I asked the seater to please sit me w them I will show her where they are at, the family that was seating next to them had already left that table was empty just needed plates picked up I said thats fine I can wait or get seated to a booth oht the opposite side of them that was completely clean there was alot of empty tables nearby ,, and she straight out said no you are not allowed to sit next to your family. You have to be seated seperated from them in an indoor room not even in the same area because I wasn't aloud to sit near them.! When she went to go tell someone that person made an obvious head movement and gesture like if she was annoyed and said she talked to me and she did and she knew what i wanted when i signed to wait to eat w my dad for Fathers day. I ended up leaving what's the point if i'm not allowed to sit near him and am in an enclosed room in the back. The food is good but the service is not it. Old POST: Private atmosphere high dividers for booths so no kids sticking their hands to the other side only hear your conversations, chow mean was not made good this day it normally is but today was dry, sushi was ok but would like to have the sauces to add more , deserts were good , I LOVED that they text you a link so you can see what place you are in line , I was actually able to go shopping nearby while I waited and only came back right before it was my turn ,, good for deterring kids...
