Our recent delivery experience was nothing short of a delightful culinary adventure that truly tantalized our taste buds! We decided to treat ourselves to a selection of Chinese dishes that promised to deliver both comfort and excitement. This meal was delivered and not eaten on site so I an rating just the food.
We kicked off our meal with the egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. While the egg rolls were decent, they didn’t quite steal the show. However, the cream cheese wontons were a revelation! Smaller than the typical wontons you might expect, these little pockets of joy were bursting with rich, creamy goodness and an explosion of flavor that left us craving more. Each bite was both satisfying and indulgent, making it clear that they were the highlight of our appetizer experience.
Moving on to the main courses, we were eager to sample the sweet and sour chicken. It did not disappoint! The chicken was perfectly cooked, coated in a glossy, tangy sauce that struck the ideal balance between sweetness and acidity. The generous portion size meant that we had plenty to savor, and the vibrant colors of the dish made it even more appetizing.
But the star of the evening was undeniably the beef chow mein. This dish was a perfect blend of tender, flavorful beef and a medley of crisp vegetables, all tossed together in a savory sauce that enhanced each ingredient. The portion size was colossal, practically spilling over the container, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to savor each bite, relishing the combination of textures and flavors.
Overall, our culinary journey through this meal was a delightful experience filled with bold flavors and generous portions. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to indulge in comfort food from the comfort of...
Read moreI had been going to Wongs exclusively for years. Until this past week. On 9-21-24, I topped in and ordered my usual Shrimp Fried Rice and an order of egg roles (2). I paid for the order and thought it seemed higher than usual ! But, I went home and placed my SFR in a large bowl. Something looked off to me. As it look just like some rice and a few shrimp. And the egg roles looked like bite sized you get in a box of 24. Half the size of the last time I ordered them. So, I went back and talked to the lady who always takes my order. I told her the SFR was absolutely unprepared and it was more like shrimp and rice only. And I said the egg roles were 1/2 the size from prior orders but cost more. I asked her if she could rectify the problem. She told me " is was too late as it was over 1 day after I got my order ". And she could not do anything. Needless to say, to keep a long time customer, she would not fix the issue. So, with all that I say, if you want to overpay for bad quality food, and bite sized egg rolls Wongs is the place to go. As I personally will NEVER go back to that overpriced, and small portion restaurant again. Good luck to you people who do not believe me. But I have...
Read moreEdit: I used to like their food. However, I ordered tonight and their fried rice is terrible. They are using instant/parboiled rice. Never in my life have I had this at a Chinese restaurant. It has an unmistakable flavor. I will never order here again unless you switch back to regular rice. Yuck!
The food is decent but the customer service is lacking. For starters they only say "hello" when you call them like a private residence which leads you to believe you dialed the wrong number. When I call a business I expect them to say the business name when answering a telephone call. For example, "Wong's Gourmet how may I help you?" When you ask them if you reached Wong's they lie and try to chastise you by saying that they said Wong's when answering. They do this almost every time I order. Also, the people taking the orders often hang up on you before you are finished. How about ending every order by asking if you need anything else and say goodbye? This basic lack of customer service and other issues will keep me from coming here if they are...
