This place is probably my favorite seafood spot! Whenever my husband asks where to go for dinner I say Aww Shucks!!! I love their Cajun seasoning, but more importantly that everything taste so fresh and delicious! I have tried almost everything on their menu and have never had s bed experience. The only thing I didn’t care for mush was their fried fish, but it’s only because they don’t season it and I like my food spicy. It was still good though. Their customer service is excellent, better than Whole Foods! Their staff is really sweet and professional, everyone from the manager to the cooks to the bussers. Everything is always clean and their bar area is well stocked. They have probably the best happy hour! We always go because my daughter loves oysters and they usually have a half off happy hour oyster special. My son is picky when it comes to his food so we get him the chicken tenders and fries and he loves it, “it’s better than chik-fil-a” he says. My favorite is the crab legs and boiled shrimp combination (crawfish style), it’s spicy but full of flavor and will leave you craving it later. Overall I would recommend this place! You...
Read moreWe ordered a dozen raw Oysters, fried shrimp and grilled salmon (medium done). I wanted to try the clam chowder, but it wasn't available today.
No problem with customer service, food came promptly.
The Oysters were tasteless. No salt or ocean or Oyster taste. Not a little hint of sweet. Just watery Oysters served in a plate too large with barely in any ice. Even the lemon couldn't save it. Disappointment since its in the name of the restaurant. Medium to small size, 20$ for the dozen.
Fried shrimp. The size was good, 8 pieces, well fried not too much breading. But just like the Oysters lacking a lot of flavor. Needed some seasoning. I tried adding salt but just doesn't really stick to the fried shrimp. The 2 hush puppies were good.
The grilled salmon again falls victim to it being tasteless. The texture and how it was cooked was great. Not dried, good color. But 0 taste. I cook salmon at home with just a dash of salt and that has good flavor. Rice was more of the same. The red peppers and brocolli were fine.
I was excited to hear we had an Oyster place in Frisco. I wasn't expecting high class. But I was hoping for a reason...
Read moreNot sure how this place is in business. Sure didn't seem like it was when my family came in today around 5 as there were zero people in there. My wife even called ahead to verify there was dine-in service.
We walked in and there was a young lady with her back to us who may have been rolling silverware? We waited by the entrance because there were no signs posted saying to seat yourselves. A man came from the kitchen area and looked at us but didn't acknowledge us, as well as another young man who looked straight at us but also didn't acknowledge us. Finally, the first man nudged the young lady with her back to us and she turned around and looked at us and then promptly turned back around and ignored us. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere...
There was another couple who were about to come in as we were leaving and they asked us if dine-in was open. We said we didn't know since they ignored us and they left as well. You won't be in business much longer, especially in these times, if that's how you treat prospective customers. Good luck with that...
