Absolutely! Here’s a more natural, conversational version of your review with those tweaks, keeping the same vibe and meaning:
Had such a great meal at Musashi that we’re already looking forward to going back! We kicked things off with a couple of the girls’ go-to starters: calamari and tempura shrimp. Both were super tasty! The calamari, in particular, had a slightly different twist—it was extra crispy without being overdone, and the dipping sauce really tied it all together.
Then we tried the Cowboy roll, which was deep fried but still felt really fresh—definitely one I’d get again!
The girls ordered the tonkotsu ramen and totally devoured it. The pork was packed with flavor and the broth was amazing! No hesitation from them about coming back for more ramen.
I had to get my usual nigiri—uni and medium-fatty tuna—and they were excellent. The sushi rice was spot-on, and the texture and temp were just right. Honestly, thinking about it now is making me want to go back ASAP!
We also sampled both the salmon nigiri and the Ora King salmon nigiri. Both were great! My husband liked the regular salmon best, but I leaned more toward the Ora King—it had a richer flavor.
A quick shoutout to the little side dishes too—they brought out small plates with some kind of Japanese-style pickled veggies (I didn’t catch exactly what they were), but they were light and refreshing, perfect for cleansing the palate.
Cha and I also sipped on an old fashioned and a lychee cocktail—both were solid!
Overall, super happy to have such an awesome new sushi spot in Frisco. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Read moreA rare gem of Japanese authenticity in the DFW area. I would know; I’m half-Japanese and am from the Pacific Northwest.
I must confess, the food in Texas has been sorely disappointing. It's average, at best. Except the barbecue, of course. And beef jerky. But everything else, especially the Asian food, has been nothing special, and often over-Americanized.
This was different, though. This felt authentic, especially the simple Geisha sushi roll. I told Nathan (who was attentive, courteous, and cultured) that eating it made me feel like I was in Japan, a country I haven’t visited since 2015. The tempura was some of the best I've ever had, and I've never seen anyone make it from enoki mushrooms before! Like with a croissant in a French restaurant, one can use tempura as a litmus test to gauge the quality of a Japanese one.
The nigiri was outstanding, too. Everything just melts in one’s mouth, exploding with flavor. Little to no soy sauce was needed.
And the Cherry Blossom maki was one of the more unique examples of sushi I’ve had, and one of the most flavorful, especially if you eat a roll with some of the shredded carrots and greens on top.
And just look at the photos! Every dish is a work of art in their own right, exactly how it should be. The presentation builds so much anticipation, and the execution satisfies it wholly, if not exceeds it. It was absolutely worth the $100+ I paid for it all.
Needless to say, I'm very impressed. I was the only customer when I ate here; that has to change. More people need to come here and keep this place in business forever.
This will be a very likely candidate for first dates when I begin a...
Read moreTook a quick trip to Dallas and tried out Musashi! The service was very nice and our waiter was very kind. The food was delicious and seemed very high quality to me. There were some items that felt a tad overpriced to me such as the chicken karaage, but it tasted delicious nonetheless. It was paired with a side of spicy sambal and Japanese mayo.
My boyfriend got one of the hotplates and loved every single bit of it. I had a taste of the steak and it was super tender! Even the vegetables were yummy. They had that charred flavor. His only qualm would be the steak being overcooked. He asked for rare but it didn’t seem rare at all. This was probably due to the fact that the meat continues to cook on a hot sizzling plate. So it was probably at rare in the kitchen but continued cooking on the plate. It was still good however!
I mostly enjoyed my ramen. The noodles had a nice chew. The chashu was perfect and was charred nicely. The broth was nice and light. The egg was nicely soft boiled and had that slightly sweet flavor. I just didn’t like how much green onion and bean sprout accompanied it. I’m not a fan of either and I wish it was advertised on the menu as to being included in the ramen. All I did was take it out, but thought it was a waste.
Overall, great place with a few minor technicalities for my taste, but I would totally visit again if ever in the area! Hope to try the...
