Movie Trading Company has lost a loyal customer today due to their refund policy and rude employees. I get that there is only 30 days to bring an item back, but a sealed item that was still in good condition should be able to qualify for a refund.
We bought a game in December for Christmas, but after a delayed Christmas due to COVID, it turns out my brother already had it. I get that employees have no say in company policy, but their attitude in these situations is well noted.
I've come here my whole life having grown up in Frisco spending more money than I care to disclose on movies, games, trading cards, and two different consoles. However, thanks to this circumstance and quite a few others in the past, I won't be returning. I will carry on this message to friends and family who will hear it, but this store's greed and their employee's attitudes have turned an otherwise great store into an annoying place to visit. In an age where you can get a digital copy of everything through streaming services and console play stores, I'm not sure how you keep customers coming back for years to come with this type...
Read moreThis has to be the most well organized movie and game store I have ever visited. That's saying a lot since it is also one of the biggest. I was here for video games, so I will focus on that. They had separate sections for every system, a whole row of Misc controllers and cables, Skylanders games and figures had their own section, Xbox360 Kinect games had their own section - itbwas quite impresfriendly. I deducted one Star just due to the prices - they were too high. Their prices were higher than ebay for the same item. Other local stores are definitely cheaper. The weekend I was there they were having a but 2 get 1 free sale. If they wouldn't have been having this sale, I wouldn't have bought anything. The massive selection will have me coming back - but I'll definitely e...
Read more1st, I will continue to shop and trade here. 2nd, Iâve been doing business at this location for 12 years. I show up at 7:23pm with a dozen games to trade in, only to be told âwe NORMALLY quit taking in trades 1hr before closing due to limited registersâ. OK, but what is the POLICY regularly? There were 2 employees visible and 3 customers (including myself) not tying up a terminal, just browsing. So, rather than inconvenience this employee and all these customers I politely say Iâll just try another day. At this point, no big deal . But, then, I grab a copy of what I thought was Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (according to the box art), pay and leave. I drive back home, open the caseâŚsweet, Pandora Tomorrow. Now I get to drive back and hope they have the correct game in another improperly advertised case. Or, maybe start driving past this establishment on my way to Collectibles Cards and Games...
