Do not order here. Called after food was clearly overcooked. Drunken noodles were literally one big gooey noodle. .I called in hopes it was a mistake. She agreed to make a meal in place of this. Despite my appetite at that point. I just didn’t want to leave a bad review for an accident. We came in about 30-40min before closing. My friend went in to grab the food as I waited assuming it was waiting on the counter as our food sat for an hour the previous time when the food was not cooked properly, the teas being made too early and being watered down due to this. She had thrown our food away and I had been wondering why it was taking so long in there. I called my friend and she was accusing her of lying about us saying we were going to be there in 15 minutes which we did not say. It ended up being a waste of my time at that point and I asked for her to just request for refund of the item. She kept coming with the same accusations , and arguing with my friend to a point where she was cursing/ yelling. How is it you’re okay with our food we paid almost $60 for sitting for an hour on the same table but not the food remade / this time fried rice instead. Which sits well. Doesn’t make a lick of sense. All staff was disrespectful. Very disappointed with service and food. Will not be back. Not only that I’m getting harassed right after leaving this review. This is the number we placed the order from. About 10-15 after us being home from all of this. This is why I requested refund after all of this. I was feeling as if there would be retaliation like spitting on my food. Glad I got the refund. Will not be returning. This is the food and proof...
Read moreI'll tell you what, I have not eaten Thai food in probably 10 years or more. When I was in this part of Virginia for 2 days I had some documentation on the local restaurants and I saw there was a Thai restaurant in town. The employees there were super friendly, and there were a lot of selections on the menu. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and Shrimp, and they brought out this massive plate of food that was an amazing bargain for the price of $13. The price would have been $10 but I added shrimp to the order which increased it by $3, and it was well worth it. There were at least eight pretty decent size shrimp for that $3, which was pretty amazing. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the Thai beer that I had was pretty darn good too. I'm giving this restaurant five stars because I can't think of anything, not even slightly negative to say about this place. I mean it wasn't the most elegant of restaurants, but I knew that going in. If it was a very elegant restaurant, I would have had to dress up a lot more, and the prices probably would have been tripled. The food was really great, the service was great, the prices were great, and the restaurant was clean. I just have nothing bad to say about this place. If you're looking for some authentic really decent Thai food, I recommend this restaurant....
Read moreI've been supporting Thunwa Thai for the past ten years. I typically have a favorite dish at a restaurant, but I tend to be all over the place here just because it's all SO GOOD. I went to pick up Drunken Noodles, Kanoom Jeeb and Dample for my husband and mine's dinner. When I got home, I was a bit surprised because there were things in the bag that I hadn't ordered. Turns out it was my lucky day! They had provided an extra Pho, free of charge with a nice little note thanking me for my support! How nice of a small business to do that! The service is always friendly and quick! When they say, "ready in 20 minutes," they mean it! I love dining in, but we typically order take-out as a reward after a hard day's work! Please, don't skip this spot! They're always consistent in their quality, service and overall...everything!
My favorites: Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle, Crying Tiger Steak, Crispy Duck, Yum Woon Sen, Panang Curry, Dample and...
