Big Slice Pizza — Restaurant in Fullerton

My kids and I made a visit here for the first time. It's a small place with maybe half a dozen tables and a couple of tables outside. We were the only customers inside and this was on a Saturday at 8 pm. We came in here because Angelo's and Vinci's which is directly across the street had a 30 minute wait. We were not greeted when we came in by any of the 3 young males who were working behind the counter. We sat ourselves at a table and after a couple of minutes I noticed that no one came by to serve us despite the workers just standing behind the counter. I looked at one of them and asked how was I supposed to order? He told me that I had to come to the counter to order. Really? You couldn't have told me that as I walked in and sat down? How about offering me a menu after I sat down? So right away I knew that the service was going to be horrible. If I didn't have the kids I would have just left but the kids were hungry and I went ahead and ordered an XL meat pizza. The menu price was more than I expected. My pizza came out to $28 with tax and tip. The pizza was cooked perfectly. The meats on the pizza were not over cooked but the chicken was a bit dry. It could use just a little more pizza sauce. The crust was the best part of the pizza for me because it was chewy. Overall, the pizza is good and I would probably eat here again but for take out and only with a coupon or discount. Otherwise I would rather get it from Angelo's and Vinci's which has a better and larger pizza for...

It really sucks that I have to write this review. Ive been coming to big slice for a a decade it feels like and now it seems like the service is getting worse.

So, the food is fantastic. Will not and cannot complain about the food. But the service has gone down hill.

Well, it’s just one girl that works there. She’s rude and unpleasant. She doesn’t greet people and never asks proper follow up questions.

Tonight is the 4th time In a row going there and she seems more interested in her nails than providing decent service. She seemed upset with me for telling her that my order was for dine in and now take out. She literally rolled her eyes and breathed out like her world was coming to an end. Seems like she didn’t want to clean.

She did the same thing with the people after us, didn’t ask if the order we dine in or take out. And they ate the food here with no plates.

I ordered a large two topping and modified to be pepperoni on all of the pizza, half jalepenos and half mushrooms. She did the jalepenos and mushrooms on the same side and got visibly upset when I asked her to fix it.

This one person make it difficult to want to come and eat the amazing food.

The staff also doesn’t seem to clean tables...

Man what a great experience this was. Had a show that day and stopped by for a quick bite to eat, always happy to find a place that sells by the slice.

I ordered these cheese curds (I think they were technically the mozzarella sticks on the menu) and they were fantastic, great cheese to breading ratio and very snackable.

When the pizza came out it looked too good to even take a nice picture of it. I didn’t even think to do that I was too focused on not immediately diving into it and burning my tongue.

Classic pepperoni and a good size slice for the price I paid. Cornmeal bottom with just the right crunch to the crust and really good cheese that tasted great and didn’t leave you feeling nauseated. This was a pizza that lived up to that image you think of when you hear the word pizza.

Danny was great and it was good to see how hospitable he was as an owner. 100/10. Would come again when I’m back...
