I want to start with I loved everything from the food to the atmosphere but something happened at the end that drops this down to 2 stars. I went for trivia night and I feel like they can go a bit faster with questions but whatever, it was a two hour event and yeah it was fun. I wish it wouldn’t be just on a phone that we’re inputting answers but again, whatever, it was great and fun. I tried the Earth to Planet Mango IPA and BLT and both were delicious, the fries and fried pickles it comes with were superb. I’ve never had fried pickle spears but oh mama it was great. Ok, the two stars: all night the trivia host is reminding you to tip your servers because they’re working hard and blah blah blah. At the end of the night, our server comes along with the giant tablet to close our tab. She lists everything you ordered to confirm it’s all correct, says the total price, and hands you the tablet open on the tip page, you add your tip, and then you can request the receipt via print or email. I looked at the email and was shocked to see 18% percent gratuity had already been included. So I ended up adding a tip on top of the already added tip. Pretty nasty trick to get more tips and left me feeling pretty sour after having a wonderful time there.

I've been coming here for the past two years. Being on Highland and Commonwealth you're about a mile from the epicenter of what's called "DTF", just close enough to walk there, but just far enough the late night drunkards can't find it. The layout is nice with plenty of seating outside with 3 tables inside. There is trivia night on Wednesday's of you're into that sort of stuff. Two Saucy Broads delivers here! There's a good variety of beers from the Original DIPA Knuckle Sandwich to the new rotational Pale Ale Blue Maui and everything in between. It's a good past time to hang out and chill with some friends. The place is dog and kid friendly, not necessary in that order, haha. They do have a new policy in place where anyone under 21 needs to be out by 9pm. Had to find that out first hand last Friday the 8th of Sept. While we were having a bday celebration. That's unfortunate they couldn't push it back to ten, so we had to split of party in half with all the kids going to TSB and my wife and I splitting time between the two. But check this place out, have a beer or two and have a great time.

I love Bootlegger's. It's probably my favorite bar and definitely my favorite brewery in all of Downtown Fullerton. It's very laid-back, with a super clean atmosphere. I've never really had any issues with anyone there, and the staff is always super nice and helpful. They have plenty of seating, with most of it being completely outside, however, they do have plenty of umbrellas. The outside area is completely dog friendly, which is really nice. The beer selection is usually decent. They always have a few darker beers on tap which I like because a lot of breweries only focus on IPA's. Overall, I highly recommend this brewery!

Avoid this place at all cost!!! If I could give it negative stars I would. I tried reaching out to let them know how horrific our experience was, but I guess this brewery just doesn't care. First and foremost , we were fans of this place, but this last visit and the unprofessional staff, horrible food is sadly the last straw/visit. Went here with my family last Sat and it was empty; should've been our first sign to head down the way to Roscoes or another establishment, but we're fans of bootleggers craft (or were). I sampled 2 hazy IPAs, the taste was bland and lackluster. I tried my best with their newest release but it just tasted horrible; probably drank 2 more 3 sips and just couldn't stomach it, went back and asked to switch it out to another. The bartender rudely said "sure, whatever man, but... I'm going to pour it the same where that beer is left off." In my head, are you kidding me? The other patrons had a good laugh and I took thought he was joking but he wasn't, and he returned with my new beer of choice at far less of what my current beer was. I could've been a stickler, but it's beer and who cares right? Next the food, just don't eat here. Man... I miss the days of their partnership with Two Saucy Birds pizza. This food is absolutely terrible, so blan... How do I describe it? Maybe a step down from fair food. That's when I see the food truck. Figured it was my fault again for eating at a place where no one was ordering food, God I wish I had saved my appetite or just ate before I came here, . SOOOO MANY FLIES & MOSQUITOS TOO! To boot, they also, forgot my mom's food. Which we had ordered on separate bills (just 2 bills, both family's of 4). We asked and noted we were missing a burger. So they ran back and the server came back and tried to argue we only ordered 1 burger when holding only 1 check. If she'd just taken a look at what was on the table and what she had brought out, she'd had seen, 1 order was order and the second was not. Another gentleman came out and said, "no, there are 2 parties/checks and they ordered separately and 2 patty melts." So another 20 mins pass and we say screw that burger and canceled, did I mention we waited about 45 for just my 1 order. The gentleman, came out afterwards and apologized and noted he removed a couple beers from our check to make it right. Awesome, even though I don't believe the price tag reflected on my bill, so great for the other bill, no biggie. AND IM JUST GOING TO CAPITALIZE THIS PART SO YOU ARE ALL AWARE OF THE SCAM OR JUST PLAN NON-INTEGRITY OF THE BARTENDER (MALE WITH GLASS'), WE HAD A PARTY OF 4, THE OTHER PARTY WAS A PARTY OF 5; SEPARATE ORDERS AND CHARGED ME THE LARGE PARTY OF 18% GRATUITY AND I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE IT, SO TIPPED HIM THE ADDITIONAL 18% ON TOP OF IT AND WASNT EVEN SHOWN MY BILL. IT WASNT UNTIL WENT BACK AND ASKED FOR A PAPER COPY I SAW THE 18% GRATIUITY CHARGE. I JUST HAD A GOOD LAUGH AND TOLD THE REST OF THE PARTY, CLEARLY THEY NEED THE 36% IF THEY HAVE TO RESORT TO METHODS LIKE THIS. I think it's more the principal of a guy being tipped 36% when he was rude, maybe the arguing with a patron on their food order, maybe the dirty glass or lackluster food, I don't know... But we're done and it seems this place is done too. Because of their failure to respond to my "Contact Us" in their website, I'll just leave this comment for the masses. Avoid this place at all cost. Btw, if your business should see this and want to make things right, my check #3117 and we went...

Made my first visit here last night before heading to Joe's. My friend is a big craft beer connoisseur and recommended this brewery. The weather sucked last night, humid and raining so not trying to discount this review. This place is different than other breweries that I have been to. The drinking area is outside, spacious and reminds me of the food court of Costco.

Beware, parking is not friendly. There isn't a lot of street parking, so be prepared to drive around the block. If you want to avoid this and do a little walking, park in the structure.

Seating wasn't an issue, probably because of the weather. I am guessing, on a normal day, it may be a problem. We also saw some people playing jumbo Jenga. But if you thinking you're going to be there for a while, bring a deck of cards. Bootlegger's doesn't offer food but there's a pizzeria just around the corner.

I had the "Breaking Rad Brown" and yes because of Breaking Bad. I am actually glad I had these because it smooth and easy to drink. It happen to be one of the favorites of the night. I wouldn't mind coming back when weather conditions are better. Seems like a cool place to hang out and...
