I want to start by saying I've never been to Polly pies restaurant I figured I'd give this one a shot we've been always been wanting to try it out! So we went to the one in Fullerton the location where it's at it's a pretty old looking center that's right next to the Goodwill! And when you walk inside Polly pie it's like going back to the early seventies there's even a lot of old people there like retirement age I wasn't sure if I was in a senior citizen restaurant? So we got seated our waitress was Sophie she had a good personality but very forgetful and she was very quick with getting us order and then running back to the other waitresses to hang out like there wasn't anything for them to do I'm assuming? There was one part of the night where she asked us if we wanted ice for our drinks and never came back with ice I mean she's a young lady so I figured her mind is not on work but she did bring us our food in a timer manor. Food was ok I think after we talked about our food I don't think we would really rush to this place to eat, I felt like we were eating from those little cafes like when you go on a trip! Then when It was time to get our pies my pie was the smallest like I couldn't understand how they would charge people like five something a slice the restaurant was pretty big and pretty old it literally fits that location the restrooms needed to be tidied up for sure maybe the waitresses could do some of that cleaning if they weren't all standing around just chit-chatting behind the bar area I always think it's very unprofessional for waitresses to all stand around while there's work to be done and there's customers to attend to in a restaurant! But again this is a new age for all the Young generation kids that just don't know how to work the way we used to work! Especially if you're going to spend like $80 for three people to eat it's just a bit much for this place like that!whatever come back here probably not! would I ever try another Polly's pie place who knows but...
Read moreSo my roommates and I are pretty new to the area. We had been seeing Polly pies in different areas we had visited. So Saturday we wanted to try it out. We went and put our name down to be seated. This was about 11am. My roommates stayed inside looking at the pies and whatever they had to sell. I went outside to stand in the sun. The waitress that took my name came out and was cleaning a table. She saw me and waved at me that the table was ready for my roommates and I. We went to go site down and immediately the Manager, Elizabeth came up pretty rudely and said we had to wait for a table. I let her know that we were told we were able to sit down. She said there is a wait and we had to wait for our names to be called. I let her know that our name was put down and we were told we could be seated. She then asked who sat us, we said we didn’t know, she waived at me that the table was ready. Elizabeth then went to the the waitress that was behind us cleaning another table and asked rudely, “who said they can sit” “ Did you seat them?” Just being rude about it and kept asking other workers who sat us. I became very angry and I said “Nevermind, we will leave”. And the waitress that was cleaning behind us apologized and said it’s not a big deal. We can stay. At that point, we were frustrated and we just left. We will not be going back to that Polly Pies. It was in Fullerton next to Goodwill and Grocery Outlet. The dvrazy thing is, my opinion was that the workers didn’t feel comfortable working under that manager. They were quick to give her name and let us know the GM would be in On Sunday. They even agreed she was being rude. Pretty sad. Hopefully the GM or owners see and take these reviews seriously. And possibly make...
Read moreThe restaurant was not very crowded. Were were sat rather quickly. Everybody was friendly . The restaurant was clean but . We ordered our dinners . When the salads came to the table I asked if bread Still comes with dinner entrees. The waitress said yes but you need to order it because they were wasting alot of bread . I told her That's Stupid . Do you serve less soup or salads be cause you or your cooks can't give you enough time to finish your soups or salads . That then dont get finished and thrown away ? And just like that our dinners appeared . Literally 2 minutes into the salads . So there goes 4 salads , because everybody knows to eat your dinner while its Warm . We did get 2 corn bread and 2 dinner rolls . The rotisserie chickens was VERY , VERY SALTY . The macaroni &cheese cam out of a can , and was cold . The spinach was the same . If I remember they both used to be baked in the dish and came Hot or at least Warm . The Salisbury steak looked and smelled like dog food spilled on a old hamburger patty . The chicken fried steak wasn't much better . Used to eat here alot , used to eat at the Whittier location, the Norco location, Yorba Linda , Long Beach , Montebello and Los Alamitos. We were eating at Pollies at least once a month . But we watched as Quality of food and services slipped a little bit at a time . Now we eat at more of the smaller Family owned single restaurant. They dont have corporate backing so they have to...
