I have been re- visiting King Wok after long time seperation because the original owner moved on and I didn't really like it any more but compared to the Raleigh experience of a 93 sanitary rating this store has a 95.5 still lower than I normally go comfortably - miss Cary they have mostly all 99- 102 ratings and you can definitely tell the difference. I like the Shrimp Mein Fun Noodle - however I did have to tell them no more onion never - they put like a whole onion in my first order and barely anything else and shrimp maybe 5 pieces. But they charge you like you will get more. I asked for extra shrimp once they add an additional charge and then it seems like it should be if it were normal.
Next I got a Seafood Delight - NEVER again - the Lobster was definitely frozen and not only that I know what freezer burn is and this was definitely freezer burnt. 1 piece lobster approximately 2 inches ny about a little more than an inch and a half wide coming from Maine and eating lobster there this so called lobster would be like a crawdad in comparison. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE / NEVER again.
Today I got a side of LOL "Jumbo Shrimp" in Chinese Jumbo Shrimp means a regular sized shrimp split and then coated with tons of batter top make it look larger than any shrimp you ever ate untiul you bite into it AND all you got is a small shrimp and more batter than you were even remotely prepared to want to eat.
By the time I picked all the batter off the two piles were about the same in weight.
It takes a lot to make me complain - so I won't but I am just going to post these facts here and all I can say is I am going to have to start driving all the way back to Ten Ten and #1 to my favorite hot spot Fuji Express They got a 99% rating and the Hibachi Chicken with Broccoli and extra mushrooms is piping hot and fresh and I get a portion that is fit for...
Read moreI have been a long time supporter of this family owned restaurant, but during this visit a line was crossed that I don’t appreciate. They were busy and having difficulty keeping up due to the holiday, but made the mistake of not starting on my order. After seeing multiple people leave who had walked in and ordered leave with their food (after I had ordered over 40 min ago on the phone), I asked how long my order would be. I saw them scramble to gather the ingredients and start to make my food. Instead of admitting the mistake and letting me make the decision to stay or leave. The older woman up front lied, got an attitude, and said my food was ready (even though I pointed out that I was watching him start to make my meal). Trying to avoid a public argument I payed and waited another 10 min. The three stars are for years of amazing egg rolls and Singapore curry noodles, but the shady attitude when this woman was under under pressure will cause me to look for a new place...
Read moreIt's a rake out place so none will ever some high on the Atmosphere. Being said, I grew up in the SF bay area, and since have never had any traditionally spicy dish actually spicy! Well that changed last night with one of rhe best Orange chickens I've had in 30 years! Pork lowmein was spot on full of veg, flavor and just enough nearly crispy pork to make ya happy you choose the porcine flavor. Egg rolls were deliciously fried, not overcooked and delicious. Seemed almost to precisely rolled to be made I house. If I'm wrong there please correct me. My picky 13 year old daughter had her first fried rice, and gobbled it! I live much closer to another Chinese food pla e, but will 100% make the trip...
