we have ate at many Longhorn steak houses throughout the united states. this Longhorn is a hit and miss, and more often a miss. From undercooked and overcooked meats to mushrooms that were served but prepared the day before. the service is generally good and they always try to correct. However this last experience took the icing. It started off with the bartender/waitress (not qualified to be either) ordered there recommended lamp shops, on special, this sounded good since I have not had lamp shops in a while. to order I sat at the bar for about 15 minutes to even get a drink, it clearly showed that the service was failing. I received my salad with the main meal and the main meal which is lamp chops which was smothered with gravy and was literally covering the vegetable and french fries which by the time it came to the bar seat where saturated with gravy. I was not going to say anything, but long and behold i was not the only person receiving this type of service the people sitting next to me also received the same service and food display - it literally was disgusting and completely not the experiences I have had at Longhorn steak houses across the country. I asked to peak with the manager - who came and introduced herself as Gayln Meck who would not even allow me to explain what the entire concern was, and although the folks who had ordered the same based on my recommendation agreed that what I was pointing out how there food was served, went into a defense mode to explain to us that this is how the owner told her to serve lamp chops. She became rude and unapologetic to the point that i agreed she was right and I was wrong. I will say this, it was a saturday and it was around 4pm and it was busy, and I can understand that things can not be perfect, but for the Manager Gayln Meck to state that nothing was wrong and that this is how the owner instructed her and staff to serve food i find unacceptable. I have had lamp chops at a long horn before, and the plate was served with the chops standing horizontal with its vegetables placed so they don't become saturated with the sauce from the lamp chops. Because the folks sitting next to me experienced the same attitude from the manger, i hope this review finds the owner of the restaurant and takes the time out to review the management skills of Gayln Meck, because...
Read moreFirst we ordered 3 meals online. After the order was complete it said our order wouldn't be fulfilled on Dec 24th at 4:30 which we wanted our order to be Dec 23rd at 4:30..which we placed online just before 3 on the 23rd. Called to get our order changed to today the 23rd at 4:30 for pickup, was on hold for 12 minutes. Still no answer, so my mom decided she would drive to Longhorns on Rainbow Drive to get our order straightened out. On her way finally someone picked up her name was Shelby. She stated she would pull our ticket and our order would be ready Dec 23rd at 4:30pm. We drove to Longhorns pulled into the pickup parking spot and tried to call, no answer! An employee came out and she said hold on ill go check on it. She didn't return but the manger came out and spoke with me and my Mom, she stated that there wasn't our order in for tonight. We stated that my Mom talked with Shelby and she stated she was pulling our ticket so our order would be ready at 4:30. The manager stated she will get our order in and it would be 20 minutes. We waited and waited nothing! So my Mom went in to check our order finally came out we had waited 45 minutes for our order. Then my Mom asked about a discount for the mess up, the manager stated "No Ma'am we are not giving you a discount " she said she spoke to Shelby and Shelby stated she hadn't taken any call. My mother proceeded to state " I'm from NY how would I know you have a server named Shelby working tonight if I hadn't spoke to someone " needless to say we are NOT HAPPY CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THE POOR SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM LONGHORNS STAFF AND MANAGER WHO WAS WORKING ON DEC 23RD 2020 AT 4:30 when we arrived for our order. The rudeness of the manger is enough for us to not eat at Longhorns again. The food was excellent but the service...
Read moreDisappointing, a waste of time and money!! My husband and I drove from Guntersville AL to eat at this restaurant. We've eaten the one in Huntsville many many times and have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. This place was an absolute let down. I ordered the 8oz filet cooked Med Rare, my husband order the biggest prime rib. My steak was cooked to death!! My server never asked how my steak was cooked after dropping it off at our table, when I brought it to his attention he knew right away it was wrong. He said he'd bring another one. Now my husband is sitting there eating his meal and I'm waiting for my steak. By the time I finally got my food my husband was finished eating his prime-rib. The lady came over and said I could take the extra well-done steak home to my dog??? How flattering really? I don't have a dog & neither of us would eat it. We went to enjoy a night out together & enjoy a nice meal together. Heck, we drove almost an hour one way. The food wasn't awful but it still wasn't what I expected. It was bland, everything could've used more seasoning. It's nothing like the Longhorn in Huntsville. They didn't make a single effort to make it right. They didn't offer a future discount or take the steak off our bill. Unfortunately, we ordered the two most expensive things on the menu and would've been happier at Subway. It's very rare I ever write a negative review but when you spend money like that you expect to get what you pay for. It's not the food alone, it's the complete experience. That's why they're so pricey right? It's Longhorn. I would say save your time & money, they have a lot of improvements to make. I don't feel like customers should've paid for...
