I visited this store and there was a lovely young lady, I think here name was lile. She helped me when I was browsing and at the register. She was all out of big bags for books and so she walked over and to ask her manager for bigger bags. I found out after I walked out of the store because the other customers came up to me because apparently they were so upset and disgusted by how "Daniel" spoke to her and about me that they felt like they needed to tell me. Apparently he had called me stupid and talked down to her about needing bigger bags. He said that customers are stupid in general and a number of other very unkind things about me and other customers. It made me and ovusly the other customers very uncomfortable. They said they will never be visiting that story again and neither will I. He was extremely disrespectful. He needs to be fired immediately I have no idea how he became a manager and shame on his superiors for hiring him and allowing him to be in charge of anything! I feel bad for the young lady that was helping me because she was extremely nice and made me feel very welcome and provided excellent customer service even after he talk to her like that and said those things, and whoever's in charge of the store makes her work under someone that disgusting. I am not one that ever writes reviews ever but I was so disgusted that I feel like I have no other choice to warn other people....
Read moreI always like coming here every now and then mainly for the Harry Potter stuff. But today they seemed disorganized and didn’t have anyone to run the front register so the lady had to check me out at the Starbucks. I’m luck I’m not a push over any more or I’d be in debt. Im young and don’t have much money anyways, but this lady first tried to get me to sign up for a membership which is normal for a place to do, but says I have to put $23 down today. So I’m like no, no thanks I’m broke... then she says would I like to donate a bag of coffee and I’m like well does that cost and she’s like yes $10... and I’m like sorry I’m broke after this I have like $3 on my card... then she gives me a pamphlet and asks me to sign three of the magazines I’d like to receive for free 2 months, and after that she’ll tell me more... should have known that’d cost too, but I circled them when I shouldn’t have anyways. And she says there free 2 months but after that it costs so much yada yada... and I’m like well do I have to do anything to activate it or how to cancel it? And she’s like oh since we have your card info here on the systems we can go ahead and do it now... and I’m like nope no thanks... what did she not understand about IM A BROKE MF? I said no thanks and left, and she seemed mad... It just really made me mad and almost ruined the trip up here...
Read moreOn the book side of the store, great service. They helped me find the books I was looking for. On the coffee part of the store, terrible service. I asked if they had matcha because I went to another books a mill, and they had matcha. When they said they didn't have any, I proceeded to look at the menu to decide what else I wanted. I was told by my sister, after I ordered, that the baristas were looking back and forth at each other, shifty eyed, like they were wondering why I was still at the counter. It took them awhile to tell me that they had to grind new coffee beans for my coffee. It took them way too long to make one drink, and it didn't even taste good. I just find the customer, which is uauly decent, at the coffee part of the store to be unacceptable. Instead of being impatient and making faces about customers, offer a recommendation. Everyone doesn't frequent books a million and buys coffee and knows the drinks. From now on, if I do return, I will only buy coffee if those two employees, the girl with the black hair and tanned skinned guy, are...
