Catfish Louie's — Restaurant in Gainesville

Me and my girlfriend were in the area and we were quite hungry didn't know any restaurants around so we started Googling we found this place and we were quite unsure at first but we decided to try it we went and I could not believe how cheap this place was and the amount of food you got for the money the wait staff is excellent right on spot my water never went empty and the food is absolutely excellent as I have said the prices are great as well if you're ever in the area you have to check this place out and on Sunday the all you can eat catfish is even cheaper me and my girlfriend liked this restaurant so much the day we ate there that after we got home and told my mother and her mother about it we decided to go back the next day and take them to try this restaurant and they loved it as well it was about an hour drive from our house but it was well worth it and I will be back the only thing i would suggest for this establishment is to possibly have a more accessible handicap ramp it was a little hard to get my girlfriend's mother in the wheelchair over the curb but would definitely not deter me from coming back for this awesome food and great...

Ended up here when something else we were looking for didn't pan out! First, the waitress was amazing. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful!! I got the all hippy can eat catfish. It comes with this AWESOME "setup" which includes a bowl of pinto beans, a basket of fries and hush puppies, and a multi slot bowl that had coleslaw, red onions and pickles, and I believe the last slot was some green tomato chunks. They were sweet. I'm not much for sweets, but I ate a few because I didn't want to be rude or wasteful. Then she brought out a basket of fried catfish. They weren't huge pieces which was fine. They were flavorful and fresh though. The first basket was about 6 pieces. All of this was $12.95. She also brought us more beans and more fries. We were driving back from an RV trip and I literally turned in without knowing what to expect. Boy am I glad we did!! Everyone from the staff to the patrons there were soooo nice!! They have two areas, a dine in and a buffet. We chose to go with the buffet and were all very pleased. The food was constantly being brought out and tasted great and fresh. The fried catfish was awesome! Everything from the salads at the start to the BBQ meat at the end of the line all looked appetizing and tasted as good! There is another area for dessert that had multiple options from cobblers to banana pudding and also a soft serve. The soft serve was so good my boys went back 3 times!! I didn't get to take pictures of the buffet line, but hopefully my pictures do a little bit to show the amazing food.
