My boyfriend and I love to try new places, and we live about an hour away from the area. I had looked at places I wanted to try and the Country Seat was on the top of my list after doing some research. However, after my experience today, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Firstly, there was ONE waitress/bartender for probably 20-25 people. We got there around 2:15pm on Saturday. We ordered a margarita and a cosmo, and both tasted off. The margarita tasted like chocolate/coffee (my boyfriend is allergic to chocolate) and my cosmo was extremely bitter. Definitely different than I’m used to. He ended up leaving it full on the table and ordering a beer. The bartender brought the beer and saw the drink still full and didn’t ask anything about it. He wasn’t going to say anything until he got his shrimp tacos. He was expecting 3 tacos to come out, just because this is the typical experience at other places, and to be full of the ingredients listed. Instead, he received 2 small tacos in an overcooked crispy shell, that had no joke 2-3 full size shrimp cut up and dispersed between the two tacos. For $12, this was honestly ridiculous. He finally addressed both the drink and the tacos. She made him a new margarita, which did taste better than the first, and said she would bring him more shrimp. A few minutes later, another girl who had just arrived for her shift from what we could tell, brings a small platter with 2 shrimp cut up into tiny pieces. It was almost insulting. We ended up tabbing out and leaving to avoid causing a scene, because we were both frustrated. I still tipped a few bucks, but we left paying $47 for a horrible experience. The menu portions need to be re-evaluated. The staffing situation needs to be reviewed. One bartender and a waitress would’ve been better than one bartender trying to do it all. She was trying and that’s why we initially were not going to say something. We ended up coming to Chili’s because at least we know what we will get when we eat and drink there. I would recommend trying other places...
Read moreThis place was fantastic!! My parents and I came by from a trip between Texas and Oklahoma and we wanted to go sit and eat somewhere! The waitress was so wonderful! She was patient and helpful! My mom ordered the 6 oz steak and it came with potatoes and brussel sprouts. Everything on that plate was sooo good! My dad had the Cuban sandwich and usually we wouldn’t order this sandwich except at a Cuban restaurant but since the waitress recommended it, we tried it and we are glad we did! We also ordered the spicy tuna tacos and the Queso fries. Both equally as good. We tried their homemade cherry pie and it was 5 stars all the way. I wish we would have gotten the waitress’ name because she made the whole experience 10 stars if we could give them!! There was also a very nice bar tender that kept our table picked up and never without drinks. Wonderful and great service. Next time we are passing through we...
Read moreBeware Courtney and staff double charge your card and then have attitude when you ask a simple question. In fact Courtney will hang up on you. When you call back, she accuses you of berating staff. I’m sorry, I asked if it would be better to tip cash and pay for the meal with a card. This is a continual problem. You can tell by the way Courtney is hostile from the jump. When I see a double charge on my account, I’m going to call and ask about it. I believe you should be able to without Courtney behaving rudely and extremely unprofessional. I believe The County Seat gets a lot of calls about this topic and she is ill equipped to deal with it in a clear concise manner. Courtney should try and stay out of her “feels” and instead actually listen to the...
