I’ve been a repeat consumer for many years and love the food. I have never had complaints about Chipotle, until last night.
The first thing that went wrong was the service. The second worker, the one who puts on the salsa, lettuce, etc., was extremely rude. I asked for mild, to which she put a small amount. When I asked for “a little bit more” she dumped a heaping pile of mild, basically turning my entire bowl into mild salsa and then quickly closed the bowl with the foil. She then moved on to my boyfriend’s bowl, who was next in line. He informs her he is waiting for the other worker to restock on queso and would like some inside his bowl once it’s refilled. She ignores his comment and proceeds to put on his other toppings and closes his bowl. We get to the checkout and the clerk asks if there is anything else we needed. My boyfriend says he still would like queso. The worker begins to complain and claims she wasn’t told that queso was requested and she should have been stopped before she closed the bowl. My boyfriend tries to explain that he did tell her he wanted queso and would like it inside the bowl. The worker proceeds to glare at him and look to the clerk with an “are you kidding me” expression. An awkward silence passes and my boyfriend asks again if he could have queso in his bowl. The worker rips off the foil and throws it on the ground. She gives him a quarter of the normal portion of queso and closes the bowl and shoves it to the clerk. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant’s service.
After that unpleasant experience, I went home and was just looking forward to eating the food. I started to eat and after a third of the way through, I noticed a piece of chicken on my fork looked strange. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was in fact not a piece of chicken, but a part of a cockroach. I immediately spit out the food in my mouth and threw away the rest of the bowl, having no desire to find more hidden surprises in my bowl and trying not to think about the fact that I could have eaten some already.
Overall, the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. Truly disappointed, as Chipotle has been my go-to for...
Read moreUpdate 2: The general quality of the food, accuracy of orders and portions for customers that order ahead of time have decreased so substantially I can't justify ordering from Chipotle anymore. I had a brief exchange with a staff member who insisted to me after I showed them my half empty bowl, that my half filled bowl was completely normal while bowls that were half made in the prep line had more food in them than mine. I order several extra toppings, there is no reason that I should be getting such meager portions. It's really an unfortunate change. In addition, getting incorrect orders has become the norm. I'm vegan and I cannot accurately how many times I get home to find a bowl stuffed with steak that I cannot eat. Truly an unfortunate change; I've eaten lunch here regularly 3-5 times a week for the last 6 years; I no longer want to. I shouldn't have to beg to get what I'm paying for.
Update: service is still generally good, but sporadically not. The pickup times are more frequently than not suggestions rather than set times. I've spent more times than I can count waiting 20-30 minutes for my food to be ready when it had been ordered for the time I arrived
I really like this location, they always take care of you well when you order in person. But when one orders delivery, the portions seem to always be cut short. This wouldn't be a huge problem if I didn't have dietary restrictions, but getting a half full bowl of veggies and rice is not at all worth my money. Inclusively, when ordering guacamole separately, the containers are rarely filled properly, They place guac at the top and leave the bottom half the container empty. Please fix this, as I mentioned previously this location is awesome, but this service is...
Read moreI come to this Chipotle because it’s so close to me, maybe like three minutes away. However, the proximity is becoming meaningless because the service here is just so poor. I never write google reviews and have given this store a million chances and every single time there is an issue. There was one time where I was waiting in line for an hour with my bowl already made, just sitting on the counter, because they couldn’t seem to cash anyone out. The most recent time I went I asked for extra chicken. There was a lady overlooking the boy scooping the chicken. He gives a normal scoop and she makes a big fuss at him. She looks at me, asks “you ordered extra chicken?” to which I reply “yes” and she proceeds to -literally- put in two extra pieces of chicken. Like I said, I’ve been going to this particular chipotle for forever, and have been to many other ones around Florida, and the amount of chicken I had in my bowl was nothing close to extra. The way the tacos are made here is also so poor. The chipotle in Ocala makes them much better. Here, you’re basically eating a tiny bowl with three wet tortillas slapped into because they just spoon everything all over the place with no regards to where it lands and never drain the liquid off of their spoons. I feel as if the staff representing this store may have been poorly trained, or just really do not want to be there. I get it, fast food sucks, but at this point I’m amazed that the management here has done nothing to solve...
