Just had the most humiliating experience I’ve ever had at Starbucks. Went the to Starbucks in Downtown Crown about an online order I placed that was supposed to go to Downtown Crown, but instead went to the Starbucks in Milestone near my home.
I place orders via the Starbucks app all the time and it’s easy to send pick up orders to the wrong location, especially when you are rushing to work in the morning. I made this mistake on 10/23/24 9:00AM and today 10/26/24 8:56AM.
The first time I made this mistake (10/23) I went into Downtown Crown and informed a nice Barista of this mistake.The manager Lisa Kim came over and helped me without any issues after seeing my receipt and I was on my way after my order was completed.
Today when I went in I expected the same treatment as before but the manager (Lisa Kim) came over so rude and before I could explain the issue she said “Oh no, you were here the other day, I’ve already gave you free food! You need to call the store you place the order with, I can’t keeping giving you free food.” I was so shocked but mostly embarrassed because she did this in front of multiple customers even after I showed her my receipt.
I’m literally in tears writing this review because I did not deserve to be dismissed in such a way. She handled me as if I was homeless. I’m a very highly educated and presentable young woman and she made me feel extremely small in the moment.
As she attempted to walk off I asked for her name. She was very hesitant but she ended up saying “Lisa” in a low voice. I then asked for her last. Lisa paused and said, “Kim.”
I made sure to let her know that I will be reporting her and I left the store without confrontation. I don’t know if she is going through something but people like her should choose occupations that require them to have as little interaction with the public as possible. If she made me feel this way, I’m sure she makes the employees feel even worse.
I don’t know if she thought I was a criminal or my race made her assume I was just trying to get free food but either way I pray that no one else gets hurt by her. I will never go to that location again for sure. I’m attaching my receipts just for Lisa so that she can see that I...
Read more"Absolutely", one of the worst experience ever...... engaging with this lil girl, a batista ('named Jeaneete, so she claims) ! She screwed up a very simple order, plain bagel.... instead she toasted an "everything " bagel instead. Still not an issue I would make, even though, now that meant I had to wait for her to remake my order. But, it was her "STINK" attitude. Completely obnoxious, rude, unprofessional & tactless ! Just redue my order, without all that lip, is all that was necessary. I'm paying nearly $10 for a cup of coffee & a bagel....... getting anything else, that I did not ask for....... "I'm going to start "charging " them for it ! But, I bet if corporate was visiting, she would display a totally different demeanor. That's being a huge coward......... no, act the very same way so that the company knows exactly what they're getting is my thing. Don't want the job, fine, there's many, many ppl who would be grateful for working; that they would extend some sort of manners & perform a simple task, with excellence. I did speak with the manager, Jorge........ explained the interaction, letting him know, if next time I witness this type of deplorable behavior, I'll contact corporate instead ! And since then this has become one of my most favorite Starbucks locations in the northern central Montgomery County area. This location tends to have the special drinks and enough supply on hand to make it through the whole day of demand for those new exciting and exotic brilliantly vibrant colored drinks. Excelsior is the staff A1 down to earth professional friendly reliable consistent positive attitudes like most of the Starbucks in the area that also have a great people as well. What this location lacks is large or more restrooms they have two little ones that barely accommodate but they do accommodate and parking can be a little sketchy at times so do not park at the dry cleaners next door that's just rude there is outdoor seating and it isn't a wonderful location. 4 out of 5 stars it would be 4.5 if I could but I can't so impress me and I will certainly reconsider within a relatively reasonable time frame of 6 to 18 months.
