The waitress was still in training and left alone. She forgot our drinks, all 3 meals had something wrong, and she vanished for nearly an hour. When it was time for the check, she didn't show. She finally came back after we flagged her over twice and she didn't remember not giving us the check. She opened her book and fumbled through multiple receipts until she finally said "oh...I'll just re-print" and left for another 15 minutes. We got up and I accidentally left my to-go food on the table due to carrying my son. I realized it when standing in line at the check out not 2 minutes later. When I went back to get it, it was gone. The buster said "oh. Yeah we saw y'all leave and trashed it." Why didn't he stop me and say "hey, you forgot your food!" The manager made us another kids meal for us to take home.
The check out was the WORST experience ever. We explained that we needed to split the check. They said that was no problem and fixed it where I paid for my portion. I had a reward on my account for a free kids meal. The lady says "what's your phone number? And I said "oh I have the app up for you to scan!" Because I thought in previous visits that was all they needed. She then glares at me and says in a very snarky tone "I SAID what's your PHONE. NUMBER". I gave her my number and she immediately says "$22.97" I stopped and said wait, I have a reward in my app. She rolls her eyes, scans my app. Then says "$22.97" louder and in another nasty tone. I said that that wasn't right and she says "the screen doesn't update it to the reward but it's right so it's $22.97" still in her awful tone. This is when I noticed the other cashier began looking at her like she was surprised and disgusted at the same time. I explained that the "math wasn't mathing" and that a $14 meal plus a $6 meal would add up to $22 with tax. She began arguing that MY MATH wasn't right and that's exactly what is owed WITH the FREE kids meal reward that "came off". The other cashier then stepped in, kindly apologized to me, clicked the screen twice, and the total went down to $15.67. I told the lady that her customer service skills are seriously lacking and she should try being more kind to people in the future. She then got all defensive and said she had been "kind the whole time". As someone who works in retail myself, I am highly disappointed in this cracker barrel experience and fully expect this associate to be reprimanded and given...
Read moreMy husband and I went to this location yesterday on thanksgiving hoping to have a good home cooked meal that reminded us of home. We are 9 hours away from home and needed something in our bellyâs. To start off the host was very nice she seated us right away but little did we know the rest of the night would be horrible. We waited a total of 22 minutes before we were even greeted by our server who kept walking by us. We knew it was her because our walking ticket had her name on it. She never once stated she was busy or anything just ignored us. We then had a manager come to the table who took our drink order and never apologized for his staffs actions. When we went to order our food we realized there was only a limited menu but there was also a âholidayâ themed menu on the table showing different foods as well. I tried to order a thing of fried pickles and they stated that those could not be ordered today. I asked why donât they take them off the tables if they arenât allowed to be ordered off of. My husband got a breakfast sampler and I had gotten the Chicken and Dumplings with Mac and cheese and fries. We were never asked if we would like biscuits or cornbread so we had to ask a waiter who wasnât even ours for them. Once our food came out it was cold and super smaller than normal portion sizes. My chicken and dumplings had NO chicken and the dumplings were overdone, my Mac and cheese tasted like the cheese was curdled and my husband agreed. The only thing that was able to be eaten from my plate was the fries and they were still cold. We still never got an apology for the wait nor any sort of discount for any of these problems. I would not recommend this location during...
Read moreCracker barrel is a nostalgic shop and country down home cooking. We LOVE Cracker Barrel. This visit left a well a bad taste in my mouth. We had left a funeral and decided to take the family for food and fellowship. You know how it is, family you don't normally see is in town and now is your chance to catch up. So we called ahead saying there is 14 of us. We get there and then they put us on the list because they apparently don't do reservations, even though on the phone we were told ok got it I'll let them know. That's such a small thing why give them three stars? Here it is. The waitress was good. The food was good. The only thing that went wrong that agitated me and still gets to me. They seated 10 of us at one table (tables put together) and 4 of us at a table with a walkway in between. When I asked if they could slide another table over (there was an empty 8 person two 4 tops right beside the 10 person) and they said NO ITS SATURDAY AND WE ARE TOO BUSY FOR THAT. insert calming breating and counting to 10 here Now I was there to support my friends and it was not my family so I did not want to make a scene. I was offered to talk to the manager and decided my supporting self would sit at the 4 top away from the family. Everything worked out and everything happens for a reason. I can even see why it worked out the way it did. Families have different personalities and all. BUT... too busy to seat a family together? So tell me Cracker Barrel what size family can you accommodate? BTW in case you were wondering.. that 8 seating table beside us.....
