First time eating at Panera (was a few days ago), but the more I think about my experience, the more I want to share my experience. I see consistent “star ratings” between 3.5-4.1(a little high if you ask me). Upon entering, the front of the house seemed nice and clean. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful (in fact he was the best part of my experience), so I took a few minutes and decided on 1/2 guacamole chicken sandwich. My friend got a whole sandwich (don’t remember the kind). We got our “name brand” plastic cup and headed towards the fountain area. When I say the set up of this store is ridiculous, it makes zero sense. The fountain station was dirty and unkept. The tables had trash pieces on them. I found a clean table for my friend and I to sit. We waited 10 minutes for 2 sandwiches (🙄), but I buzzer finally went off and I went to the front where the cashier/order taker was and he explained that I had to go to the window to get my order. When I tell you my 1/2 sandwich was tiny, it is an understatement. Our two sandwiches, two plain nasty looking bag of chips and drinks from a sketchy fountain area cost $30 🫢 and upon seeing the food, it hit me…. I am paying for the brand name because there was nothing about these sandwiches that was remotely pleasing. The size was small. The contents of the sandwich was skimpy and placed center of the bread (the bread itself wasn’t awful). My friends sandwich looked old with the same skimpy contents as my tiny 1/4 of a sandwich. I bite into my sandwich and realized the guacamole was nothing more than a halved avocado lumped on the bread with the 2 teaspoons of chicken centered in this 2x2 “half sandwich”. How disappointing!! The chips were bagged and thrown on the plate purely as an afterthought. We hurried to eat and to leave. This place tried so hard to appeal for the fact that it is “Panera Bread”, but I felt the overall experience was that of a homeless soup kitchen and that in itself is far reaching because at the soup kitchen at least you’re not expecting the boujie hipster’s version of an upscale subway. I will never again give this over priced sub par homeless soup kitchen a chance. I will head next door to Wendy’s every 👏 single 👏 time! Thanks for...
Read moreI should have left when no one welcomed me. Everyone was very busy talking with each other. I walked up to the counter, and to my surprise their conversations were much more important than to help their customer. After waiting a short time, I discovered their kiosks. After ordering and waiting in a corner for my food, I received a text that it was ready. Before the text, an employee casually reminded the staff to be mindful of customers coming in. At some point, she walked by me and under her breath said something like "hey." Back to my text...When I sauntered back to the counter, I was asked if they could help me. I explained that my order was ready and you would have thought I had committed a semi-offence, by not understanding that I was to magically know that I needed to walk down a dark area to get my order. Their statement was something like..."Do you see your name on this screen? If so, your order is ready."
Now, about my $13.00 bowl of three or four pieces of chicken, rice, avocado, etc. It tasted very good. It was just enough to make you even more hungry. I wonder how much they would charge for a proper portion? It would have to be at least $50.00.
At least I enjoyed my...
Read moreTo tell you the truth... I was sooo excited when they opened a Panera right down the street..after eating at the one one in Franklin for the first time. Little did I know this one would lead to only disappointment. Portions are super small for the price you pay and yet I went back time after time. Got sandwich and ramen noodles. Had to look for the meat with a microscope almost .. one tiny half slice on the sandwich the ramen noodles were terrible hardly anything else in them.. I think they were supposed to be chicken but I didn't see any..On another occasion I went in and ate my small salad not expecting anything after all my other experiences looked over at a guy with an absolutely HUGE sandwich. I tell you he must have worked there because I have never seen them serve anything that big to anyone including myself. If this is the best Paneras has to offer I'll just eat at home!!. Even their fresh loaves of bread are getting smaller and smaller. Not worth the almost 5$ they ask for them. Total...
