My son was coloring on the bed and left the cap off the marker which resulted in the top sheet of the bed having blue marker all over it. On the second night of our stay I took the top sheet off, set it next to one of the beds on the floor. That evening when we returned to the hotel our room key wasn’t working. My two small children and I waited and my husband went downstairs to get a new key card. He was told by the front desk associate that the housekeeper found the sheet and when she washed it, the stains didn’t come out so they had deactivated our keycards, forced us to pay $100 for the sheet in order to get back in to the room. I don’t even know if this is legal. We went back down to the front desk because I wanted clarification on why we were charged so much. They said it’s their policy for damages. I asked to see the policy that I had signed upon check in. There were two, one $150 for smoking and one $150 if pets were found in the room. No where on paper could they show me where I had acknowledged this or any disclosure whatsoever of this policy. They told me well normally, we charged $150 and were only charging you $100 as if they were doing us a favor. I asked to see the sheet and they went and got it for me, again telling me that the housekeeper had washed it and it was ruined. We ended up taking the sheet back to the room with us since we paid $100 for it I was going to keep it. I went straight to the sink and with their cheap bar of soap and hot water immediately got a few of the big stains out. It was washable marker so I wasn’t surprised. We took the sheet back to the front desk and showed them the before and after pictures. The girl at the front desk she she was shocked and would have to talk to housekeeping. We demanded that they give us our $100 back since we locked out of our room on Easter with our two small children, forced to pay to get back in, scammed out of that money. We were lied to about them trying to wash the sheet, we were laughed out by the two front desk staff when we told them that this was not okay just to hear that “it’s our policy “ even though they couldn’t physically show me any documentation saying that to be true. We were even told by the same front desk person that someone had damaged a tv two days before and was charged $300. If your policy is $150 as you say why are some people getting charged $100 and some $300? It’s absolutely a scam. I have worked and stayed at many hotels and have never experienced anything like this. I would 100% never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those with children. And I would 100% never stay there again. I truly believe that they do this often and I can’t imagine that it’ll be too long before their getting sued for it. I also took photographs of the state of the mattress cover and other sheets on the second bed in the room with a huge disgusting stain on it. Again, just confirming in my opinion that they don’t actually care about the cleanliness of the room, they just want not do their job, lie to you, charge you and then tell you these sheets are $300 per bed. Mind you, I paid $78 a night...
Read moreThe city of Gallatin Chamber of Commerce ought to vote to shut this particular Hotel down until they finish with completion. As a diamond member with choice this is the worst hotel in a nice location that took no effort making this hotel follow the choice guidelines. The rooms are nothing better than an upgraded jail cell. Yes. Fresh paint. But no artwork on the walls and very cheap and non-professional workmanship in the rooms and on the building. One side of the building as you can see is supposed to have Windows but they just bricked them off. They advertised laundry facilities inside but for some reason after a year still can't get a washer and dryer put in the hotel. Their breakfast is the absolute worst of any hotel I've ever seen in my life. It makes me disgruntled that the particular owners of this hotel just put it up so they can start making money as Gallatin is a hotspot for business Travelers. But the management company that owns this place cares nothing about customer satisfaction only to make quick money. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. The Quality Inn next door to them is impeccable and they do a great job in cleanliness and safety and is a better Choice hotel for you to visit. You have the Hampton Inn across the street which is a little more expensive but nice. This place does not deserve patronage from customers who visit and are in town spending their hard earned money for a place that doesn't care one bit about customer...
Read moreFirst, I always stay here when in Gallatin. It's affordable, clean, and breakfast included, which is probably my favorite part.|||| There are 2 hotels next to this one, a Hampton Inn across the street, and Quality Inn next door. I really like this place, but at the same time, I have to give a fair review.|| This hotel does not have a pool, but shares the one at Quality Inn. Unfortunately it is also small and right next to the road with no privacy fence. You can walk to several restaurants if you wish. It's quiet until someone closes a door, which is rather loud when they let it shut close, but this happens a lot in hotels. The staff are friendly if you are. || Our first room door wouldn't lock, which I had to convince the staff of before they would switch the rooms. I could push the door open. They quickly changed my room once I did the demonstration. || They need to clean up the outside, overgrown grass and half a glass door laying in front of the building is not welcoming. Also, the same Mercedes SUV was continually parked beside/ in front of the drop off area, instead of parking in the spaces, which I assume was an employee, which is unprofessional.|| This could be a great hotel if they would step...
