So let me start this by saying the place was clean, well decorated, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. We went for my girlfriends birthday, and they surprised her with a complementary ice cream with a plate that had "happy birthday" written in chocolate. The waitress we had was awesome. All smiles, and I didn't have to ask a single time for a refill on my drink. That was the good part. The bad part, unfortunately, was the food. To say overpriced is an understatement. We ordered the spinach dip for our appetizer, and we could tell that the dip had been microwaved, and the "chips" we received for the dip were stale and unsalted. My girlfriend ordered the roadhouse steak for her entrée. Basically, it's a porterhouse. She wanted it cooked medium. Well, it came mostly raw. In areas where it wasn't raw, it was rare. It was also extremely salty and full of gristle and fat. It's definitely not a $33 cut of steak, but that was the price. I had ordered the Texas roadhouse burger, and I wanted it to be cooked medium. The burger was cooked perfectly, but it was one of the most dry and most bland burgers I've ever had. No seasoning, no sauces, just dry. The meal was supposed to come with fries, and I wanted to add a side of mac and cheese. Well, the meal only came with one side, so I never got my fries. However, even though the meal was supposed to come with a side, I had to pay an upcharge for the mac and cheese. To add insult to injury, similar to the spinach dip, the mac and cheese was obviously reheated. The absolute best thing we had to eat was the side of broccoli that came with my girlfriends steak. It was fresh and perfectly prepared. All-in-all, my visit was a disappointment. The staff was fun and friendly and just an absolute joy, but the food...
Read moreLonghorn steakhouse as a whole is consistent across the region and I appreciate that. This particular longhorn steak house location had excellent service from the time that I walked into the door until the time I left. I came in at around 8pm on a Monday; which I believe to be a time and day where you can expect things to be messy, but at this longhorn location they were not. I only waited about 30 seconds for a hostess to seat me in a kind and quick manor. I did however, wait for around 10 minutes before being tended to by a waiter. Which given the time and and busyness of the restaurant I believe to be acceptable. The hostess noticed me still without a menu and promptly came to give take a drink order from me and get me squared away. When I did meet my waitress finally she was very kind and very attentive and made up for the initial wait period. I ordered the shrimp for an appetizer and I enjoyed it. It is a huge dish that I believe to be very fairly priced. It could easily feed 2-3 adults. I then ordered the cowboy ribeye and a side of lobster tail. Both of these items were just “okay”. I was not at all impressed with the $11 lobster tail addition. Nonetheless I do believe it was on par for a chain steakhouse in Tennessee. It was not bad, it was cooked right, but I just would not order it again. The bone in rib-eye was also cooked correctly and tasted great, but it was not priced correctly for the quality of meat. Drinks were good and fairly price, Service was well above expected, and the food was good. All in all I would eat at longhorn steak house in Gallatin again, but I will be trying dishes that are more...
Read moreMy husband, 2 year old grandson and I came in today, April 10th around 3:30/4. We were seated in a booth at the back adjacent to the bar area. Our server was female , dark brown hair and I don’t think she ever told us her name. She took our order fairly quickly. She brought out our Texas Tonion which was overcooked. We ate some of it anyway. Someone else brought our food out but did not bring my grandson’s cheeseburger and fries. When I mentioned it he said he would check on it. A few minutes later our server came by and asked if everything was good and we again asked about my grandson’s meal. She left and came back with his food about 10 minutes later. When I was getting him situated he said his fries were cold. I checked and they were extremely cold. When our server finally came by I told her his fries were cold. She said “do you want me to take them back”. She seem like she was inconvenienced and annoyed by this. I ordered the 9oz filet and baked potato which was good. My husband ordered the 9oz Flo’s filet and lobster tail and he said his lobster tail was cold but didn’t want to say anything because of the attitude of our server. We decided to just get go boxes and leave. Our server brought the boxes but not our bill. I had to ask someone else to get our server to bring it so we could pay and go. This was not at all a pleasant experience. For years we frequented Longhorn and bragged on the fact that we always had an excellent experience and delicious food. The last 3 times we were there have been a real...
