Double Dogs — Restaurant in Gallatin

I came for the first time on the soft opening and all the food that hit the fryers were way overdone as well as the burger I had ordered being almost burnt. I didn't think anything of it because it was a soft opening and I know everyone was running around like crazy and training.

I decided to try it again tonight after a few years. The food had improved quite a bit. I got a mushroom and swiss burger and it wasn't bad but almost a little bland. My wife got the Margarita pizza and it was pretty good.

The tables, unfortunately, were sticky and the service was probably the worst service I have had in a long time. We had 1 of 2 (I think) servers but there were only a few tables that weren't at the bar (maybe 4 including us). The female server we had already seemed like she didn't want to be there which, I didn't really care on that part. She disappeared for loooong periods of time and I even trying to flag her down but she was too busy texting and walking around the store talking on her personal phone, sweeping a random spot in the restaurant and then disappearing again right behind a corner in the kitchen to just hang out.

I had to get the other server to get our boxes since we had been done for about 20 minutes and she never came back. The other server was very nice and got our boxes and our check for her. I was very confused how a manager would let someone just ignore customers and stay on their phone until I found out our server WAS the manager! That's a terrible example and it's very unfortunate she is in charge of anything. With the food being a bit better and the unbeatable beer prices I would most definitely go back but if that's the management I'd rather go elsewhere. Probably won't be back... the overly loud music didn't...

This was our first time here. Definitely not impressed. If we come back, a big IF, it will be for drinks only and to watch a game. Bar staff very nice, speedy service. Hostess clueless. Wait staff friendly but average. The food was below average and extremely overpriced. My minor child ordered a sandwich and was told we could substitute the fries that came with it, for any side item listed mac n cheese was chosen.I chose onion rings. Chicken sandwich dry. Philly sandwich was a joke. Bread was cold and thick with just a tiny bit of tough, chewy meat thrown on there. The chicken salad was literally just lettuce with some fried chicken bits thrown on top. It took almost an hour to get this horrible meal. When we get the check, we see we were charged 7 dollars for the mac n cheese and an upcharge for onion rings as well! Server said they do not have actual side sizes, so its an order by itself. So, you do not tell us ahead of time, you charge us full price for a sandwich and fries, but no fries because we were instead charged full price for a side of mac. My childs meal alone was 20 dollars!!! Warn people of your ridiculous upcharges and policies lacking a true substitution of items when they order. My jaw still hurts from trying to chew that philly sandwich. Worst money spent in a long time for the worst...

We have been twice, first visit was not a good experience...everyone's food came out wrong and the manager was rude about it even though we said we knew they had just opened the week before there would be kinks that had to be worked out. Then the manager said "I hurt his feelings" after I explained this to him. Overall food was good, waitress and manager, not OK.

Second visit was much better. I probably would give 5 stars if manager wouldn't have been so unprofessional and waitress knew what was going on the first time. The food is actually really good, you get a ton of it too. It is a bit overpriced for what you actually get (burgers & dogs) but everything seems to have gone up in price since covid. The second waiter was.phenomenal.and had he had been a server at raffertys before they closed at rivergate. I recommend trying this place once to evaluate for yourself.
