I am very disappointed in this coffee shop’s management. I went in to have a coffee and pastry and sat in what I thought was a nice corner couch. Unbeknownst to me, the throw rug on this elevated area was not secured to the floor. When I got up to go to the counter, the rug slip out from under my foot and I fell hard on their cement floor! Bashed my knee and was really shaken up. After a few minutes, another customer helped my husband get me up. I asked to speak to the manager to see if there was a procedure they were required to document the accident as a business and the co-owner came over and acted like she wasn’t sure. She immediately threw the blame toward me and I told her I would give her my name and number for future reference. No apologies, very little concern for my well being. A fellow customer went to the counter and got some ice to put on my knee. Very...
Read moreOn my recent visit to the new coffee shop in Gallatin, KAVI house of haggai, I found the environment extremely inviting and the energy of the space uplifting. When inquiring about the name “house of haggai” one of the owners explained that the name comes from the Bible. Stating that “this place is inspired by faith and I want everyone that comes here to find it a place where one can hang with a cup of Joe, open a laptop, connect to the internet, engage and connect with friends or open up a bible, even say a little prayer”. Yes’ there is a prayer room in the shop. 🙏🏽 If that wasn’t enough, it was a joy to hear that some of the tasty pastries are sourced and provided by a Black-Owned bakery. Try the “TrillionDollarCookie” or those “Scones”😇 As for the coffee, I hear it’s the best in town! I’ll leave that for you to decide. This...
Read moreDropped in early one morning to work while in town. Staff was very helpful and patient with someone who doesn't drink much coffee. My caramel-mocha latte was enjoyable and the atmosphere allowing people to drop in and out (or work in the corner for a few hours) as they pleased. The staff was kind to all visitors and had a great rapport with both the regulars (often asking if they wanted "the usual") and new-comers like me. I will definitely be back when I am in town for my next work trip. I am grateful to have a spot available for these...
