Captain D's — Restaurant in Gallipolis

It's always a pleasure to go to Captain D's. The staff are very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always helpful. Everything is always fresh & delicious. They recently finally just put out coupons again which is great. I would recommend this place to anyone & everyone. If you're coming through Circleville going north or south I highly recommend stopping here the food is absolutely delicious. The tea is delicious they offer both sweet and unsweet tea made fresh all day throughout the day and they sell gallon jugs of sweet and unsweet tea just ask for one. They have coffee, soda/pop, desserts such as apple pie, cheesecakesn small chocolate cakes, funnel cake fries. They also offer soup's. They have many different type of breading on their fish as well as many different types of fish including grilled fish and lots of different side dishes to choose from everything from applesauce, french fries, coleslaw, cottage cheese, side salads. If you have a question just ask, for instance if you'd like cheese on your salad just ask, if you would like light cheese on your baked potato just ask. They also have other side dishes such as okra, green beans, and broccoli just to name a few of the extra side dishes but the list goes on & on. They have grilled crab cakes, crab, lobster bites and lobster rolls. They have a kids menu as well as a seniors menu. They also offer large family dinners. You can call in a head of time to place an order. there is a parking lot with handicapped parking spaces available. here is a men & women's restroom available while the women's bathroom only offers the one bathroom stall you can go in and stand and wait your turn and be patient. When it comes to fast food seafood, many try but few succeed. Unfortunately for the Captain D’s in Gallipolis, Ohio, I wouldn’t even categorize them in the “trying” category. This want to be Long John Silvers is not only understaffed, but undertrained. After a lengthy wait for our food my friends and I finally saw our undercooked and greasy food coming to our table. As we proceeded to dig into our room temperature “steamed” vegetables, the waitress knocked over a mt dew into a lap and cell phone of my friend sitting across from me. Thankfully the waitress attempted to wipe off the soda soaked phone… with a mt dew soaked paper towel. My friend ended up riding home in sticky underwear. However we were not about to let that keep us away from our meal. As we began to dive into our french fries (that tasted like they were cooked under a 60 watt light bulb) another friend in our group went to bring some ketchup packets to our table.
